We are not a registered company, it is only what we call the group of people who work on our projects together.
Concrete Jungle
Concrete Jungle is a side-scrolling action arcade game that pays homage to coin arcade classics such as Final Fight and Streets of Rage.
Denim City is ruled by street gangs who patrol their turf every night ready for battle at any moment. Spartan, leader of the Red Inks has been kidnapped along with his girl Helen by the evil Jackson Danver and the Flying Skulls, all because the Red Inks were growing in numbers recruiting the city's best warriors.
Now Spartan's lieutenant, Joyoung and his troops must cross the length and breadth of Denim City to rescue their leader and his girl from the clutches of the city's most evil entity.
This is a war in the streets. Fought by street warriors. This is the Concrete Jungle.
Freeware to be released via browser game sites such as Newgrounds.com and Miniclip.com.
Being a completely independent, unfunded group, we are looking primarily for people willing to volunteer their time or people who want to get their names and talents linked to game projects. The game will have a credits section where contributors' names will be published.
Technology:
Concrete Jungle will be played through the user's web browser via Adobe Flash player.
Concrete Jungle will be developed using Adobe Flash.
We need help from:
Concept Artists (approx 2)
Flash Animators (approx 1)
Flash ActionScript programmer (approx 1)
Team Structure:
I am Shaun. I write initial game design documents and stories.
Simon heads recruitment and manages people we bring into the group.
Adam writes scripts and proof-reads/edits any narrative writing I do.
We do not have a website at this time.
We will give out detailed game information only to people we decide to recruit into our group.
Simon Mucha is the team head recruiter: simon.mucha@gmail.com
We want Concrete Jungle to be an original game that is a throwback to games many people played in the old arcades, NOT a clone of any game that has been made before. This game has a deep, engrossing story for one of this genre, and we are passionate about this project to see it through to the end.
Concrete Jungle will be an episodic Persistent Browser Based Game that we hope will give our group enough experience to create larger, profitable games in the future.
Feedback:
Please only constructive criticism.
Hello,
are you looking for artists that will create gfx, sfx and music exclusively for your project or are you fine with the art being available for any other project out there?
Hi qubodup. I'm Shaun, one of the co-creators of Concrete Jungle. Just wondering, are you asking if collaborators on this project are free to use their work on projects other than Concrete Jungle?
Our stance on this issue is that we will give credit and ownership of all work to those who created drawings, music or code for any game we work on. However, we would ask that a character, scene or music piece not be used as is on another project.
We'd be happy for artists to alter work and use on another project, as they are the owner, but we'd rather not get into the issue of copyright with other game developers if one piece of work was used in two different projects.
Hope that answers your question.
@Soverell Well what we do here is we create art, music, and other things that a licenced so anyone or any project can use them. As long as you respect the authors license you won't have any issue with copyright. Some of our members do commisions as well.
