A lifebar ornamented with a gold thread.
One of my first pixel arts.
The sprite is separated into three sprites : the background, the foreground, and the contents.
The hero's head sprite shown in the background image comes from here.

I really like this look.
I think the ribbon would flow a touch better at the top if it curved there like it does at the bottom.

You're probably right, and I made it like you said at the beginning, but I wanted to simulate the physics of a heavy thread. I surely could have made it better though.
