I am working on an open source education app. One of the things I plan to implement is a random cutesy avatar generator. I've already made a basic generator here: http://github.com/justinoverton/AvatarGenerator
Avatars are generated from Eyes, Noses, and Mouths. Each is a 400x400 transparent image with the parts aligned so they can simply be stacked on as layers.
What I need from you is a variety of images that can be combined by the algorithm to make cutesy avatars. They can be aliens, animals, people, whatever. They just need to be somewhat gender neutral and appropriate for young children.
What do you get out of it? Satisfaction, credit, work you can use elsewhere. If you require compensation let me know and I'll discuss. This is an open source project with a small budget.
My lovely programmer art is attached. As you can see I'm not in a good spot.
Check this one out. I really like it and use two portraits generted by it in my game :) However, there are only adult male and female avatars. But it's at least some place to start.

Hey Polymath,
I am interested in this project. Below are some examples of what I could bring to the project. Let me know if you want to work together.
Thanks,
Christian
