This role is currently unpaid. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE
My name is Corey Archer. I'm the head of a small team developing a game codenamed Project_M. Our previous modeller left the studio due to personal reasons however is willing to help out should we need it.
I asked him before he left why he chose to help us with the game in the first place. and he responded with "This game as a lot of potential and I'd like to see it completed."
We were looking at a Ocarina of Time 3D style.
unfortunately we didn't get very far with modelling and most of the files were incomplete.
We kind of need a little help. I'll send a screenshot of a demo room.
if you are interested in helping out or want to know more either message me or comment on this thread and I'll get back to you.
Thank you and have a nice day.
Corey Archer
We are still looking for help with modelling. It's very urgent however Using a placeholder Cube is getting pretty stupid.
Trust me when I say I wish I had money to be able to pay the members of the team but this is a passion project and no money has been put or made from this so far.
We are giving up our time to work on this project. and we all want to see it completed.
Thank you and have a nice day.

How ambitious is this project, and how detailed models do you need?
(I'm just asking out of curiosity tbh, I think I would be a bad fit for this project)
It is pretty ambitious. It will be my first 3D game. Because of the large scope of what we are trying to achieve, we have decided to release the game in Chapters. We don't know how long the final game will be but we have written a total of 8 chapters. some shorter than others. The game has two main arcs with four chapters in each, with a time skip between the two.
Without the proper help, this will take forever to complete as we only have two programmers and only one of them can work in it as of now (me). When the game finally releases however is when we will start making money so people are reluctant to join because of the work they'll put in without knowing if they'll get paid what they think they are owed.
Part of me wishes I kept this a two man job but I know how much work goes into making a game of this calibre and I know our team is completely understaffed. I am grateful to my team for helping with this project so far and it would be great if people were willing to help us out
I have to wonder why you are in such a rush. Does it matter that the game takes a long time if it's a passion project of yours like you say?
If you are in desperate need of immediate revenue and therefore have to complete the game quickly, it might not be a good idea to have such high ambition imo. But I suppose you're in it for more than just quick and easy money~
aw look. It's not a big issue for now, no rush as of yet. I have a base model I've been using but I would at lease like to have a character model. I can make the models if I need to but as it stands with schooling and work I have minimal time to work on the game.
and no. I'm not in it for the money. Its neither quick, nor easy to do this. haha.
Well, there's a large difference between wanting just a single model, and wanting a permanent modeller for your project.
The way you explain things really leaves me confused.
sorry, that's probably my Aussie dialect.
The final model count for the first two chapters is:
4 playable characters
1 princess
1 king
3 bandits / pirates
1 knight / soldier
4 villager male
3 villager female
2 villager children male and female
1 shopkeeper NPC female
1 shopkeeper NPS male
6 monsters varied field, forest, snow.
2 Bosses
A LOT of these models will be placed throughout the game with texture changes.
The most detailed models have to be:
playable characters
king
princess
Bosses
I am currently making a base to go off for all the models to save modelling from scratch for each as it is A LOT of models!!!
Yeah that's quite a lot. I can certainly see why you need some assistance for all of those.
yeah. that's mostly excluding named NPC's. YAY!!!
I would start with simple models first and focus more on gameplay, making the game more stable and playable.
that's already been done. Now we are working on maps and character designs. I finalised the physics three weeks ago and the combat last week. All I need now are characters, animations and maps.
