Nice work. The only thing missing is a cute top hat ^_^
That's funny, I did play with a few top hat designs. I tried to give it a nice round brim, but couldn't make it look right. And I didn't like having a single pixel line flat brim, it looked like it needed more depth. So I abandoned the hat.
On the other hand, I do have a few jetpack frames, but never added heat waves or fire coming out of the bottom. I may still upload them though.
Wow.
Nice I love this art :)
But can someone tell me which are the "Walk" frames ?
I cannot really find them :)
I'm glad you like it. Walk/run are the same, it is the 2nd column and loops by repeating.
First just so you know how your art may get used: I'm going to be volunteering with TEALS this academic year, a program to get volunteers to help teach CS in public high schools that otherwise wouldn't have a CS program. One of the projects students will do is to write a 2D platformer in SNAP, and I'm going to point the kids towards your art to use in their projects (and they can learn something about copyright in the process). Thanks for sharing.
Secondly, a question on format: it would be super-convenient to also have this, and all your characters, available as a zip file of individual sprite pngs (added bonus if also includes 2x and 4x magnifications). While I'm capable of doing that, it would take time to cut each sprite out, so I thought I'd check first to see if it is something that you already have?
@xenotropic That sounds like a wonderful program, and I am thrilled to have my art contribute to that effort. For my own game, it is similarly useful to have the sprites split into individual frames, which I call "idle_0.png", etc.
I similarly have this for most of disthron's sprites, and can easily get it for the rest (I have written an imagemagick script which splits these up automatically). IM can also easily generate 2x and 4x versions. I am on vacation this weekend, but I'll PM you once I get back to my computer that has these files.
Good luck with TEALS!
Excellent, thank you!
Here's one somewhat half-baked game using this guy written in the learning language SNAP, so I could learn from making it, and as a demo for the students. Maybe more later in the semester if students choose to use your art in their projects, I'll certainly point it out to them. http://tiny.cc/joeplat
GREAT!!! I'm using it in my game Jack the spy
Thanks! I'm glad to see people are getting use out of this!
Greetings , i am using this sprite on my android game called "Noland Runs !" i will notify you when game is finished and published.
