Well, I've created a new character and completed every quest in Flare.
I wanted to thank you, developers, for making this game. It was very fun to observe how it changed through all these years, how new things were being added, how much has changed. I think that I spent too much time with Flare, because I can clearly see, that layouts used in the Halls of Infinity were in Flare Alpha Demo (sneaky :D).
While I was playing Flare on my laptop, I thought that it's pretty well balanced in terms of difficulty and every new and useful loot was always a nice feeling. Puzzles created for the game aren't too hard, but aren't frustrating either (thank you very much for changing a bit these riddles with levers, these are much easier now), so these are perfect for this kind of game.
I must say that Empyrean campaign has pretty nicely told story. It's short, of course (it took me 4,5 hours to beat the game), but with this visual style and music I can safely say, that the overall tone and ending are very fitting. And the final boss was a pretty nice challenge.
I'm happy that I can play the game from Itch.io app - it's very comfortable, especially since it can install game updates by itself.
Now time for some worse things - even if the game is short, I really had enough of the same dungeons, forest and especially caves. It was pretty dissapointing to see Underworld as just foggy caves. Having only one sound per every type of monster or weapon is tiresome too.
Despite these last sentences - it's a really decent game and I really hope that there will be added some new things and patches. I'm not sure, for how many years I'm watching development of Flare (four, five?), but I know that I'll be happy seeing any new update to this game. And just to show my appreciation, for now I'll show my stats and equipment.
PS. I hope that there will be some official Flare version in mobile app stores tweaked for touch devices :)
PPS.: I'd like to show a little problem: tooltip, which is shown for question mark in the inventory doesn't show complete message. Next lines after the first modifier are being cut and ony upper parts of the letters from the next sentence are being shown. This affects original and translated versions. Maybe it has something to do with the length of key names used to modify left mouse button? I can't translate "Left Shift / Right Shift", so I can't say this for sure. I'm attaching screenshot regarding this bug.
Thanks for the positive review. :)
