I'm sure that I am going to get blasted by someone here but here goes anyway.
I am a producer of a short film called The Space Station and we intend on releasing
the film later this year. As a promotional angle I thought it would be cool to develop
a simple game that ties to our film to help create a fan base.
I know nothing about creating apps or games and was hoping that there may be
someone here that might be intrigued by the idea and want to help get one developed.
Like I said the simpler the better. We will be submitting our film around the globe
and it could be potentially a good fit for a game developer's career.
Any advice or direction is appreciated.
Can you give more details about the complexity of the game you pretend?
I would like to apologize from the get go. I really don't have too many
ideas on this. I do want it to be simple. There are two characters in the
film. You can see a preview @ www.TheSpaceStationMovie.com. It is
a cat and mouse senario in space so maybe they are chasing each other
around inside of the space station. This idea of a game app has just come
to my mind and it has not been fleshed out. The creator/developer would
have lots of latitude here.
anyone out there have any ideas or help on getting this underway?
I think that you're missing one important detail. In what capacity would someone be developing a game for you? Would they be paid, or would it be merely 'portfolio work'? Would it be closed or open-source?
