The project (code named Thwack and Bash) is a hack and slash roguelike. We're dividing the game up into multiple phases. Phase 1, the alpha for our kickstarter (coming soon!) is a survival game - fight waves of baddies until you die. Get a high score. Repeat.

After that will come the dungeon crawl and monster hunting, and finally the retirement system. In roguelikes you tend to get a super awesome character, but you hit a wall and know you're dead if you keep playing. Then you just die, and it's all gone. Not so here! You can retire your character, who will open up a shop and sell everything he found. At this point other players will be able to team up with you to hunt, or come to shop in your town.
