Hi there :)
I have made an acount to submit a bunch of very old pixel work I did. I will slowely upload that over the next week or so, but I was considering putting up some newer stuff.
I have made thousands of graphics for our site (my fiance does the code, I do the art/design). Since it is all vector, some of it could be made into props, backgrounds, and such without too much work... depending on the style the games are done in. Most of the graphics were made to make scenes in our "Magic Makers", so they will probably work for a side scroller type perspective. I'm sure they would work for other things as well, it is just a matter of being a little more creative ;)
Here is a sample pic of some random stuff I have:
Are there any game engines that are particularly well liked by the community on here? If you guys can come up with suggestions/requests I can look into putting together some themed sprite sheet sets that are sized to work with your projects and have the kind of things you might be looking for. (I can only do creatures if they need just a few poses, animating them would be a much bigger project.)
Thanks!
Sorry, I can't hand out my actual flash files yet... we are using them facebook games and we don't want to hand them directly to a copycat ;)
I would direct you to the Liberated Pixel Cup
http://lpc.opengameart.org/
And more specifically to the style guide and asset list
http://lpc.opengameart.org/static/lpc-style-guide/index.html
There is also a resource request section if you're looking for ideas
http://opengameart.org/forums/resource-requests
Or you can take a look at the todo list of whichever open source project takes your fancy

Glad to heave you on board, thanks for all your work :)
Hi! Thanks for the links :)
The liberated pixel cup stuff won't work with my style, though there are some really beautiful pieces there.
I am just offerning to change the colour, line thickness, and size of my existing work to fit with a few themes and sizes. I am not drawing anything new. Since I have made around 15,000 flash graphics for my site, I can probably make some decent sets. I did take a quick look at the request list, but since most people are asking for art on a specific style, it doesn't seem like my work will fit.
On the other hand, if someone is ok with my style and wants say "30 food dishes 32x32" in size or "50 treasures 64x64 in size" that will just take me a few hours.
Thanks again though, and I will see if there are any games in the wikipedia that might want my work ;)
These are beautiful. They'd work well for title scene decoration.
Thanks :)
I have used them for title sences, and I have actually used them to make a game for Whirled. The viewpoint on that site works well with my stuff so I made trick or treating game out of it... that is why I thought I would offer it here.
If anyone wants to see the kind of stuff you can pick from, got to: http://www.emeraldactivities.com/market.php?cat=modern (it is the "store" for my website, and it has lots of the pieces I can use to make sets.)
They look amazing. These can be crafted into a nice hidden object game, or may be even a medivial tycoon game. Will you post vector versions? If so, I don't think any coloring is necessary.
Thanks! A hidden object game is a good idea, though it might be hard to make a set for that.
I can't post vectors... well at least not for a few years. Our main use for these is our version of dress up games (you can scale/colour/rotate/and apply patterns in our games) and having someone just directly take all of our stuff and make a dress up would really suck for us.
That is why I offered to make sprite sheets or something if people are after specific things. That way the art to could be useful to others, but it won't be easy for others to clone our games ;)
I think semi-relistic soft colors would fit nicely. As for the size, the ones that you have posted looks natural. To be honest, adding a hidden object game would add to your site too. Its helpful for the kids to develop better perception.
I have checked your site, its amazing. The amount of content is head spinning. But it could have been improved for little kids. The tools look like professional graphic editors. Handles are too small for smaller kids also they may have trouble understanding what is transformation center. May be there should be another mode for smaller audiance.
Good to have you here, I always like to see more games for kids.
Thanks!
The buttons could be improved for any age (especially the colour system, we are completely replacing that now that we know more about flash). Emerald Activities was sort of our learning project, doing all those pieces actually got me a good enough portfolio to get an industry job, and doing the code for that and our other projects ended up changing my fiance from a 3d animator to a software engineer. We never seem to have time to go back and apply what we know now to the site though, it is just too big a job and although it gave us our current skills... it doesn't make money :p
Our site is a little decieving because I designed the mascot and such sort of poorly for the group. That and the "family friendly" rules I put up, makes it seem to focus on young kids, but really our audience is tween girls. I plan to redo the site someday to more clearly show that, right now it is very confusing. I am working on several games for little ones too (I have a 7 year old and a 2 year old... but I think I will split it into two sites or something).
A few kids actually have requested hidden object games before, I will see about doing one when I have a bit more time. I should probably finish a few we have started first though :p We have kind of moved on to social games and such now, since we have both worked at a social game studio. I would like to make a simpler version of our magic maker games for kids to use on a tablets though, my daughter would love that.
I was mainly offering to do graphic sets since I can do it without needing my fiance's code help, and because I have used a lot of open source and royalty free code/sound/reference over the years. I thought maybe I could give a little back. I guess I will try to just make a few random sets and see if anyone wants more.
I am glad to be here, I hope I can hope I can give some coders and designers the ability to better realize their visions :)
