In the license text of the textures it says:
"The license to use this textures can be found at: http://gametextures.com/index.php/commercial-license/"
But this license is not compatible with CC-BY 3.0 which you have chosen here.
As far as I understand the blog post linked by the original poster ( http://gametextures.com/blog/2013/10/23/25-free-materials-over-at-opengameart-com/ ), this pack is uploaded here by the license holders themselves. In that case it seems like they are generously relicensing the packed in textures under the creative commons BY license, If indeed they are the license holders this should be entirely possible, no?

You're right. They contradicted one another. I removed License.txt from the file. This content is now entirely creative-commons.
