*waves shyly*
Hey everyone! My name is Cougarmint (Cougie for short) and I'm new to the OGA community. I actually stumbled on this site while looking for some resources on my own game (space sprites, mainly.) Shortly after learning how to make my own planets in Photoshop, I decided to give back to OGA and its contributers by adding some artwork of my own to share, especially after I found that there were not that many ringed planets to go around -- I happen to really love them, and it's a shame that the only public domain or CC-releaseable planets are those that are basically just rehashes of Saturn. I hope that you will find my planets a refreshing spice to liven up your in-game universe a bit. ♥
I'm also a good writer, and I love to help with story ideas and such!
I specialize mainly in 2-D and pixelated art, especially for the RPG Maker series of game dev tools. My goal is to one day become a game designer either by myself or working for a full game studio, and I hope my art is of use to you.
I wish everyone the best. ♥

Hey, welcome. I think the planet designs you do are a welcome addition here. (Thought I commented to that effect, but don't see it.)
I think contributing here is a "long tail" interaction, because you might over time get a lot more people downloading something than at first. There's so much to see here, and it's difficult to do something to recognize it all and encourage people. But I think something specific can find the right person later, and really sometimes all it takes is one. And the reason for doing it should always be that hope. Just giving my philosophy I guess.
OGA is a cool place, but it doesn't seem to be overly social. It's rare to see people just having a discussion somewhere. The ones we do, though, are usually pretty good. We need some welcome threads sometimes to liven things up.
Thank you for your kind words. I too noticed that there's not a lot of social activity here, but it may be because like you said, there's so much stuff that it's almost overwhelming. But I'm glad this place exists so that we all can share our work with others. I think that's how all things should be. Respect one's rights and give credit, but be able to use it if you're not as artistically inclined. ♥
