MM yeah I could probably use that tile editor. Gotta look into that one then.

Mumu could you post the full error message? I have never had such an error.

As a workaround you could perhaps download the portable version. Just run the executable and it should play if you have XNA 4.0 and .NET 4.0 installed on your system.

For the shop:

[Left]/[Right] keys to browse the items, [Enter] to buy one and [ESCAPE] to quit the shop. To enter the shop just fly into it.

Every piece of art, music, etc. on this site has a list of licenses on the left side of the screen. I'm guessing that your project is not commercial so you could probably use anything from this site. If you're not sure about the licenses then just make sure you credit everyone as some licenses require a credit or a link back.

Nice. We really need some 2D towers for some tower defense games.

You can convert svg to png with the Gimp.

Actually the game needs some real levels including destructable buildings and such and indeed more move patterns for the AI. New move patterns are very easy to implement tough but 'real levels' means creating a level editor...*sighs*...

The new move patterns are currently scheduled for the next version but I don't have enough ideas to build the next version.

I could also implement a XML design so that the users can adjust the enemies and such to their liking.

Glad you guys like it :). I think it just passed ~50 downloads including the old versions.

Well all art is from this site so I didn't had an artist either.

No I'm not porting it to the phone but if you comment out the mouse support in the options menu and replace the controls with the phone controls then it should already be compatible for the phone/xbox.

I made it slightly crossplatform from the start and it doesn't cost much CPU as I optimized the collision detection as much as I could without making it completely unreadable. I do not have a compatible phone myself so I won't port it personally.

I didn't port it to the XBOX on purpose because Microsoft does not allow games to be distributed to the XBOX console for free... This is also the reason why I cancelled the distribution of my other game to the XBOX even tough it was already 100% cross-platform.

And hell yes some art on this site is really really good!

Yes or a special tutorial section just like the graphics where people can upload pdf or other open formats to (preferably) read in their browser? I vote for the menu item.

Great tutorial btw.

I got it again. It seems to be best to close the browser and start it again as the error just keeps popping up even after retrying in a new tab and closing the old one. Restarting the browser seems to fix it for me.

I think it happens when you forget to fill in some choices as Bart mentioned. The problem is that the site somehow remembers your mistake and prevents you from 'fixing' your mistakes.

Thanks for the replies :). Seems like going from c# --> c++ is a lot harder than I thought. But mastering C# took me years so mastering c++ will probably take pretty long too.

Ah yes good tip on the OpenGL.
