iMAGE Zero
Essentially an adventure-like "game about gaming," that allows players to develop their characters in a variety of gameplay styles, including platformers, 4-way adventure games, shmups, racing, fighting, puzzle, musical, and beat-em-ups. Pushing a nifty balance between actual level/game design and procedural content generation; this is a fairly-large scale project, which is hopefully chipped into managable chunks. Design work is practically done for the time being, as is a key "level chunker;" with which to dynamically design my gameplay worlds. Presently working on spriting and my "Dynamic Music Generator," which combines simple, fun-to-play musical note sequences (including drum beats and dance steps) with "beat filters" to fit them within different musical styles ala Music Theory 101 (though I'm missing a few of my unrecovered music samples).
Some examples of the gameplay dynamics include a Metroid-like gameplay with Sonic-influenced physics and MegaMan-style bosses and weapons; or a classic Legend Of Zelda-like world with Demon's Souls-inspired combat and simple item/equipment crafting (but not "mining").
