This above is really no different than what a game does. For each frame rendered, a bunch of different assets are combined to make one image and displayed to the player. Its doing it in a different way but the resulting image is the same. The fact that the rendered frame is not a saved image file is irrelevant since the player could capture the image by taking a screenshot and saving it.

No, there are actually many differences and it's not that clear. When player plays the game and takes the screenshot, isn't the player actually creating the new work? If I redistribute GIMP and include CC-BY-SA licensed image and proprietary image and package all of them in zip-file so that someone can create new image where they are both visible, would that breach owners copyright?

Your music is truly amazing! I started listening all tracks from Cinematic Vol 1 and I just love all of them.

Would it be too much to ask them in ogg-format? Firefox can't play mp3's without plugins and since mp3 is patented technology, game developers need to pay to play MP3-files in their games.

Ah, there already was topic concerning "Free the Monsters". Strange that I couldn't find it with forum search with "free the monsters" or "free monsters" (without quotes). I should have tried seaching with just "Monsters".

I was actually going to animate the original golem myself but then you released your animations. I may add some animations later. Anyways, you saved my time very much.

Unfortunately  there's still one weightpainting problem. See animation "Attack" frame 18, at the top of leg1.R and leg1.L, from behind.

There seems to be problem with skinning or something, because some of the spikes stretch while playing animation. Problem is easiest to see when playing Die  or Attack animation.

Other than that, very nice model, texture and animations. I'm definitely going to use one of these in Arkhados.

Yeah, unfortunately they're still a long way off.

Hmm. I actually understood their update just the other way around. They said that if they reach 10,000 $ goal, they will create textures and if they reach 15,000$, they will create rigs. I would have preferred to have complete models instead of models without textures or rigs so I hope I'm wrong and you are right

Just like Clint said, CC-BY-SA does not require you to share source code.

Though it's not directly said, game is "Collection", not "Adaptation". My reasoning can be found from other thread:

To me it seems strange that OpenGameArt FAQ states that you should release source of entire project under compatible license if you use CC-BY-SA . Well, IANAL.

IANAL, but I believe that game is not considered derivative work, and neither are other game assets used with "Work", unless it's synchronized with "Work" (like using soundtrack with video to create cutscene).

To me it seems that game is considered "Collection", not "Adaptation". Here's how Collection is defined:

"Collection" means a collection of literary or artistic works, such as encyclopedias and anthologies, or performances, phonograms or broadcasts, or other works or subject matter other than works listed in Section 1(f) below, which, by reason of the selection and arrangement of their contents, constitute intellectual creations, in which the Work is included in its entirety in unmodified form along with one or more other contributions, each constituting separate and independent works in themselves, which together are assembled into a collective whole. A work that constitutes a Collection will not be considered an Adaptation (as defined below) for the purposes of this License.

 Since game assets are separate and independent of each other and together assembled into a collective whole, game itself is "Collection", just like encyclopedia is.

 Section 4(a) of the license contains following:

This Section 4(a) applies to the Work as incorporated in a Collection, but this does not require the Collection apart from the Work itself to be made subject to the terms of this License.
