New here - question about submitting art

Hi everyone. I''m relatively new here, been lurking and looking around, mostly at sound effects, but have some art I am not using and want to put up in case other people would want to use it.

However I have some questions.

I don't know if other people would want to use it (its okay, not the best, but its of a specific character of mine. Not *super* original, but still not just like 'a skeleton' that could belong in any game. I don't mind if other people use her, but IDK if other people would *want* to.)

Should I still submit in case people would like to?

If so, I've been reading the FAQ about liscence, it seems like I can submit with OGA attribution liscence, which ...seems to fit if people want to use it or modify it for commercial projects, so long as they attribute the original art to me? Is that right?

sorry for all the questions. I've just got this art I can't really use anymore, and want other people to be able to use it should they desire.

*Its pixel art, which started hurting my hands due to chronic pain. So i can't *finish* the whole game she was in, but I can put some art up for others.

Of course! That's the reason EVERYTHING gets submitted here; in case people would like to use it.

Correct. CC-BY is very similar in this regard, but OGA-BY grants slightly greater freedom since it doesn't forbid platforms that use DRM, such as Apple App Store.

Two questions are hardly overwhelming. Ask more. :)

Some caveats to note: The answers to the following clarifying questions will change how you should go about submitting the art.

There is a distinction between the copyright (which you will be sharing with others) and the trademark of your (quasi?) O.C. character. Are you comfortable with people using that character, including any details you share about her? (such as name, personality, etc.) Or would you rather people only use the art of the character, but not the essence (name, personality, entity) of the character?
"...Not *super* original...", does this mean the art is based on other artwork of other character(s) not originally created by you? i.e. fan art of Hatsune Miku. Or are you saying the artwork and character is entirely your own creation, but the concepts are not exactly revolutionary? i.e. "you've probably seen characters like this before."
Were any AI tools used at any stage of the creation process? AI assisted artwork is not strictly forbidden, but it does change the information requirements and download rules when submitting the art.

Hi thank you for the reply!

People can use art of the character, I haven't really posted a lot of details about personality yet so I don't think that that would affect it much. though I don't mind if people use same name/ personality traits, but I dont know if anyone will or not. if that makes sense.

By not super original, I just mean there's not much defining besides species/ coloration. No extremely unique markings/ tattoos/ hairstyles that would scream "This is dean's OC"

Ai was not used. I don't use AI, and besides that, its art I did yeeearrrs ago, when AI art was less of a thing

Just gotta double c heck that file names make sense and make sure everything looks sensible. (Sometimes my file names are weird, but I want to make sure that they are easy to tell what they are when I submit them)
