Tool Posting Question
Tool Posting Question
I built a tool to import the LPC sprite sheet assets into Unity, with the animations complete, and a drop in character creator. I decided to use the LPC art assets for a remake of Ultima 4 I've been wanting to do, and figured that if I was going to build a Unity Character Generator using the LPC spritesheets, I might as well decouple it and make it publicly availiable. To my knolwedge, there isn't a tool for that exactly. I built it with Claude Opus 4.8, and signifigant human oversight. I still don't think AI is very good at game engine work, for various reasons (Moving target of the pipeline being one of the big problems I've identified. Expert skills would help with that, but good ones are lacking for 2d work.)
My question is where/how do I post that? It's quasi original, but is also using AI extensively in the build out, which is a caveat that needs to be addressed and noted before it's used in a project. None of the art is AI generated (I'm not sure the current state of AI is really capable of creating a full sprite sheet, if I'm being honest. And having it function properly, and/or not look terrible.) But it's a github repo, that you import into your Unity project as a package.

I think you've already posted it in the best way you can: A forum post with a link to the tool.
functional tools are not "assets" in same sense spritesheet graphics are, so they should not be submitted on OpenGameArt as assets via the "Submit Art" form. However, posting on the forum and linking to the tool (what you have done above) is appropriate.
