Mini-characters and various fantasy stuff for gameboy-like (or Famicom-like) games (roguelikes-likes, zelda-likes, RPG...)
+ 2 examples (with crazy colors).

Nice!
Great work.
Only: You have put two "5" and no "6" in there...
Thank you! It's fixed now!
throw in some skill icons if possible :D
what do you mean by "skill icons"?
what i meant was spell or abilities icons. sorry for the confusion.
for example fire arrow, stealth, bash and fire bolt. i think this is important for rpg related games, and i'm planing to make one myself
btw, i have left similar comment on your 32x32 tileset page ;p
I like this! 4 shades? Could work rock on a calc!
@ldarren with the V2, I added some new icons; is it OK?
thanks so much for spending time on my request. ya, i think those new icons are generic enough to be useful for everyone. thanks
Ook! Those new mockups are awesome.
How did you pick your colors? They look great. :)
Thanks for these, they are very useful placeholders.
Also, if you'd be willing to put together more color palettes, it would be much appreciated.
@ seven : I picked the colors from "Color Ramp Creator" http://www.pixelfor.me/crc/ Nice little online tool where you can create palettes with 16/8/4 shades.
are you still updating this tileset? Is it ok to add more icons? if so, i suggest to add some debuf icon such as deseased, cursed and poisoned icons
@ldarren: well, right now, I don't have time to update the tileset (working on other stuff, and this format is so... tiny)... so you can create/add more icons : with only 4 colors, it's really easy & quick to create 16*16 sprites ;)
I just realized that it wouldn't take much work for these tiles to work with the ones I made, just some tweaking of colors. I haven't said this before, but I think you did a fantastic job on this and your other submissions. It's not a lot of space so things like readability and character are hard to put in, but you make it look easy.
Thank you Charm! Feel free to add my tiles to your project!
Nice tileset, I am using it in my js13kgames entry: https://github.com/diogok/herogame
Thank you for such nice work!
I did a quick recolor to make it work on GameBoy / TI Calculator palette, and it really rocks, nice work!
@Eiyeron : cool! Can you post a screenshot or/and a link to your game? I'm curious to see how it looks^^
Ha, it's not what I mean, but I could easily do a mockup to show you how your sprites could fit well on a screen.
The main problem is the size. For 16*16 sprites, we can see only 8*4 sprites. If a 8*8 version is made, I could, with pleasure, change my tileset, or merge with that version, and we could have 16*8 sprites on screen (or 8*8 on my rogue like)
Anyway, here is a bigger than the screen mockup I drew myself to givee ideas. Look how it's way under your level: p
EDIT: I added a mockup on how your tileset should look on a TI calc. I scaled the mockup *2, because 96*64 is way too little to enjoy the details!
EDIT 2 : Some Dawnbringer 32 palette fiddlings...
btw op im using your tileset in rmvx ace.
all 9 stages are complete! working on battle system now.
THANK YOU for the graphics \(^-^)\
Ill post pics when my new charger comes in.
Oh, by the way, there is a little pixel off in the left wall. That's quite strange to not see it on the other walls nor on the mockups. A little fix should be done to remove it! ;)
@Eiyeron : edit done! Thank you^^ 96*64px is very small: good work to fit a game into this small screen!
@Tutimane : I can't wait to see/play your game!
Thank you for this wonderful tile set!
I'm using it for a small Zelda-inspired 2D game with Unity. It's still in development, but looks like this.
Hi I've used your tileset on a little project, here's a first draft:

Hi there,
I’m building an (mmo rpg zelda-like retro game) that will be free to play, and i like very much your assets.
I've read the CC-BY-SA 3.0 and I wonder if there are anything to take in account before using this material for commercial purposes other than just give you credit for it.
If you are interesting in collaborate with the project ill will glad of making you part of it, for the moment the project members are just me :D, but if you want to know more and see how the work goes contact me.
Warning: My English may suck.

Hey,
I made a short puzzle with this asset: https://archaicbit.itch.io/cornelius
It's for a small game jam on a local gamedev community (and a jam into itch.io also).
really nice!
This is great!
I wish the characters had full sprite sheets facing in all directions with walk cycles though.
If anybody ends up making that, please let me know! :)
Hi, I love your art! I'm sorry for the newb question, but how do you change the colors? hehehe thanks
Tank you!
You can change the colors in any art program (ie. paint, photoshop, krita).
I used these assets in my project:
Phaser 3 Tilemap & File Pack Project Template
Hey! I really like these sprites and I am going to use them in a game I am making. Will post more information as the project moves along.
I have attached a sample video from my game.
As you can see I really suck at pixel art, but I think the animation turned out well.
@Jerom, would you be interested in a commision to do a few more of these sprites and maybe animate them?
@B3L7: Glad my assets helped you!
@Juxxec: I'm interested: can you send me infos via a Private Message/Contact?
Hi -- wanted to share that we've used some of these assets in a retro-RPG. Just posted the demo link & more info here:

Thx for making great artwork!
I used this tileset to make a Gameboy game for a holiday gamejam. Great stuff! Beautiful pixels. https://ericxdu.itch.io/neclaus-quest
Hello! I'm using it here: https://maykelsb.itch.io/unstable?secret=Zz78Wo7vOa7HiA6rrlBIp0nLaMg / https://github.com/maykelsb/Unstable
Thank you so much.
