Click the preview image to see a 128x128 gif animation (23 frames).
Available in three variants:
1) fluid_simple is the basic version, with spherical bursts of fire.
2) fluid_extras features some additional streaks of fire here and there.
3) jumpy is a much less smooth version of fluid_extras, where the fire is much more random each frame, leading to the animation looking much more jumpy and chaotic.

Hey, I was really curious how this performs, so I created a test video of all of them. It was quite a hassle to find working ffmpeg code, which is now at the bottom of the video description. Thanks!
Looks very nice! And has many diffrent uses, maybe as lava texture or as rain drops on water (if you use it as greyscale heightmap). Anyway, really good work! Thank you. :)
thanks for this, seriously getting this sort of grafics correct by pixel pushing drives you insane and this texture looks lovely.
taking note of this one on my favorites :)
Although I like the effect this seems the most resource consuming way to achieve it. For instance a single grey scale texture to which a color ramp is applied in real time would be much more efficient.
