Is OpenID working at OGA?
Is OpenID working at OGA?

I've tried using an OpenID login - using my LJ identity - but I'm getting "# The username contains an illegal character. # You must enter an e-mail address." and bumped to the registration page. Is this how it's supposed to work, or am I missing something? From what I understand of OpenID, LJ usernames are <user>.livejournal.com and I'm following this.
Works for me. I've a self-hosted identity.
Maybe try <user>@livejournal.com instead of <user>.livejournal.com ?
Comes up with "not a valid username".
Have you created an account? You need to do that first, and then add your Open ID identity.

Never really saw much point in OpenID honestly, as it mostly acts as a form of assisted registration. The few sites that let's you use it directly usually forces you to click a link to get to another login page. Annoying and tedious. Maybe I just had bad luck though.
Hadn't occured to me, Bart. Thanks.

The point is: you don't have to remember your passowrd for each site, if you remember the passowrd of your OpenID provider that's enough.
As for the site, OpenID worked for me only partly: I was able to use fedoraproject.org as a provider, but NOT blogger.com, when tried to use the address of my blog (nicubunu.blogspot.com) the error was "error:Invalid AuthRequest: 768: Invalid value for openid.ns field: http://openid.net/signon/1.0"
