Looks kinda cool. I think that if you made it animated in the four basic walking directions, it would be very useful in RPGs during the prototyping phase.
Now, the criticism:
I do not like the bark colors. You should try to make the colors mix well. It is hard for me to explain the exact reason why these colors don't mix, but they simply don't. I also see some pillow shading on that apple. The form of the tree seems sloppy but it is a tree, so maybe it is supposed to look that way. It depends on the art direction of the game it is in, really.
This does remind me of the Endless Online art style. Is that game developed anymore? Last I checked (years ago) it seemed almost completely dead.
Several private servers exist and have nice customizations. The main Endless-Online that we all knew and loved is gone. Many private servers have the original graphics. The private server I was affiliated with is found here:

I was Mysticmoon on the original EO. My daughter was "Maesen"
How are there third party private servers? I thought EO was closed source. Did they release the source after the project ended?
