Here is the "Brought to life" Art Challenge.
The concept is to bring to life some interesting ideas for games we had here on OGA. They are listed here in this document : https://opengameart.org/content/list-of-ideas-for-the-brought-to-life-ar...
This is the forum discussion where these ideas were proposed : https://opengameart.org/forumtopic/ideas-for-games
You can produce art related to any idea in the document, including an idea from yourself.
New ideas can be proposed on the forum discussion until the 27th September, I will add them (if there are) during the week-end in order to have the list ready for the challenge which will start Monday 30th September.
Submission are accepted for this challenge from 30th September to 20 October included, voting will last from 30th September to 27th October included (so it ends one week after the end of submissions).
The submission with the most favorites by close-of-vote wins!
Be sure to tag your submissions with both a "Challenge" and "Brought to life" tag. Also, post a link to your submission in this thread as well.
The art challenge will start this Monday. The list of ideas will be updated this week-end.
EDIT :
List updated now. "Annelids" is still in the list for now (so, art for this game can be proposed for the art challenge), but it will be removed from the list after the art challenge.
It will not be part of the "ideas game jam", as a team is already working on it now.
The art challenge has now started !
The submissions are now closed.

Cool! That was a lot of fun. It has given me the art bug :)
This was the first art challenge that I have participated in. Been wanting to do one for a long time. Almost missed it, but Xom reminded me. Thanks Xom.
The winner of the challenge is ZomBCool, with his Egyptian RPG character, with 7 votes !
Congratulations, and thanks everyone for participating :-)
Really? Wow! Thanks everyone :) A big thanks to Xom for being a good host. The challenge was the kick I needed to try some art. I will update the submission with more characters and animations soon. Cheers!
I demand a re-count! :p
Congrats ZomBCool!

@AntumDeluge : I am glad you enjoyed your first art challenge.
The previous (summer challenge) was the first I participated, this one was my first time organizing it. I enjoyed it.
@ZomBCool : Good to see you have now the art "bug" :)
I am looking forward to see these new characters.
@chasersgaming : Your alien soldier was quite good work too :)
Congratulations. Medals have been awarded. :)

I didn't know you get medals. sweeeet! I'll wear it with pride :) cheers!
Thank you for the medal MedicineStorm. Not as shiny as ZomBCool's, but still nice. ;)
BTW, shouldn't ZomBCool get the "Contest Participant" medal in addition to "Contest Winner"? Or does "Contest Participant" get replaced by "Contest Winner" medal?
He's going to have to participate in more contests if he wants the silver as well. :)
--Medicine Storm
Oh, it's a "silver" medal? The name threw me off.
I would have thought "participant" was it's own medal. Then there would be three (gold, silver, & bronze) medals for placing in a contest.
Apologies; the participant medal is silver in color. the winner medal is gold in color. I only give one medal per contest per person. If you want the medal you didn't get this time, you'll need to do more contests. :)

I'm kinda hooked on getting these medals now... they are cool unlockables :)
Roll on the next Art contest! :)
