Ready to rumble peeps :)
https://itch.io/jam/opengameart-spring-2020-game-jam
I copied the rules from the summer jam. Hope you dont mind. They are spot on :) Please let me know if anything is amiss.
Looks great! I'm thinking I would like to offer a "bonus prize" for the best entry that's made with Mini Micro (https://joestrout.itch.io/mini-micro). What do you think of this idea?
(For a quick overview of what Mini Micro can do, see: https://youtu.be/WpA9ziwtsO8)
@joe Strout Mini Micro looks cool! If you want you can start a community topic on the jam page.
Cheers!
Cool; This jam just showed up in my itch.io Jam Digest newsletter.

Oh nice!.....wowser, 12 more people joined yesterday! Up to 47 so far :) We might get a few entries hey. Everything crossed!
are we supposed to tag art related to the jam with some specific tag like the art challenges?
Ye you could but its no biggie. I will follow the links anyway....I just altered the rules to state that you have until the end of the voting period to upload any art made specifically for the jam if you want it to be considered for eligability. I'll create a community topic to re-iterate. Cheers!
I see it om my itch digest too. :) be cool to get 47 entires or more, il have a job to do creating 47+ rating cards. :) but it will be great fun playing them all!

When 47 people join, we might se something more like 10-15 entries :3
Im glad this is happening! I use itchio and OGA hand and hand. I hope I can make some time to tbrow somthing together. Not that it takes long with all the great free use assets.
Right on Merlin! It would be good to see you in there matey :)
Hey there guys! First of all thank you, I had never heard of this site, and it is awesome!! I was wondering if you had a Discord server for the jam
Why not! https://discord.gg/d9Hr8Ns :D
P.S. it's pretty minimal as I have little discord moderating experience. Let me know if you'd like to be a moderator on the discord or brush it up a bit. I'll promote you. :)

Alrighty! Well done to all who submitted. Fantastic effort guys and gals!
looking forward to playing and rating the games! Here are some tips on how to vote/rate using the 5 star system.....
1 star :-
Is obviously poor quality. A broken game that offers no enjoyment.
I urge you to reserve 1 star ratings for games that are un-playable and therefore can be neither criticised nor praised.
2 stars :-
A game in its very early stages of development e.g. unfinished game loop or lacking a story.
Game Jam time constraints should be considered however and potential should be recognised. Some things may have been implemented well like solid player controls for example.
This should be taken into account when leaving constructive feedback.
3 stars:-
These games are good, very playable and fun.
You may find however that some elements don't quite work or the game is not balanced,
e.g. enemies/A.I. are too difficult or you get stuck at some point and can't continue.
These games should get a mostly positive review. Make sure to leave suggestions on how to improve the game along with info about any bugs you encountered.
4 stars:-
A really good experience. Solid game design that is very well implemented.
You may notice minor glitches in the game but nothing major that interrupts the gameplay.
e.g. missing sound effects, graphical glitches or any other small quirks that grab your attention.
5 stars:-
Thoroughly enjoyable and well made. Reserve 5 stars for a game that impressed you from start to finish.
Keep in mind the nature of Game Jams and these games may not be perfect but if the very minor discrepancies didn't bother you at all and you had fun throughout then it's a 5 star game.
Nice games here. I just finished playing-rating-commenting them.
My favorites : Cugzilia, The Lucky Bunch in Shamrocked, Spring Cleaning.
Congratulations to all participants !
Same. Had a great time. Thanks all. :D
