Hey folks.
This is some redish parallax space background. It has 3 images. Each image has gradually more alpha. In your game, put the one with 100% alpha as the last image, then the one with 80, the one with 60 etc.
Move the one that is farthest away slowst, the other ones faster. Makes a nice effect if you add in some blending :). And don't forget to repeat it.. (GL_REPEAT for OpenGL)
And Public Domain as always. Who gives a shit about my name being anywhere?

Looks good! Only one comment. A long ways away someone can mistake it for sandpaper.
Oh and it would be nice if you didn't use the s word.
Thanks,
Hero
's' word? Are we five? Please...
Anyway, as far as a parallax effect, you described it reverse. The farthest layer moves the slowest, the nearest moves the fastest. At least that's the definition of a parallax... ;)
Thanks, small mistake on my end :). Fixed.
Wrote this after a night of programming and bughunting :D
Hey guys I added a second set of parallax layers :). Those are less red and allow you to add in other colored layers. I have 7 layers in my game and that really looks awesome :D.
Yeah, I totally understand what you mean. I have those pretty often... by the end of a 16 or so hour stint, I'm almost babbling.
I made this myself in a little game i'm programming. You should just disable the color black, then only the stars remain on the image and then you don't need to remove the color in the game.
Thanks for uploading this. After trying many different skyboxes, I ended up using this as it was really easy to add. I used it in my project Galaxy Wars. Thanks for the textures.
