Thought I'd post this here and make sure it gets noticed, I just finished work on a modification of the Grasslands tileset I've been working on over the past couple of weeks.
I've uploaded it here:

I also noticed the blog post about Flare's art backlog and sort of decided to myself that I'd like to try and contribute to the overall project by perhaps creating some of those additional assets that were mentioned. I'll probably focus on additional greebly things for the dungeons/caves/etc unless something pressing is needed.
I also wanted to suggest possibly dropping the hand drawn art for the equipment and simply moving to direct renders of the assets themselves. It'd make things a lot easier and look just as good in my opinion.
because of the colors used it loooks more like dirt / ground then sand which is what i would expect for desert. but its still usable none the less
@Amstrad: I have the tile sets covered for now. I'll put out a call if I need a specific asset created.
It's not so much that we have an art backlog. I'm just listing out the things I want to get done between now and Beta.
I'm enforcing strict quality and theme requirements for art, so if you really want to contribute get in touch with me via email. We can talk about specific pieces you can work on.
I created the desert set for mod idea I was working on and just figured I share it. It wasn't my expectation or intention for it to be rolled into Flare itself.
I can understand maintaining strict quality and theme guidelines for your assets. I'll probably drop you an email in the next few days if I can't find a project of my own to distract myself with.
