From the assets I built here, I let the project sit for a bit, but finally pushed through and finished a fully playable 3D chess game with all the basic rules implemented. Basic Chess is a straightforward online 3D chess player that lets you match up against anyone on the internet. It’s technically multiplayer, though the line blurs a little since moves and game flow are handled through my webpage.

I really need more people to play it so we can shake out any bugs I haven’t caught yet.

While I was building it, someone else ended up using the same assets I created for their own project. So the games look pretty similar, which honestly is kind of cool. Always stoked to see the stuff I make getting used out in the wild.
