I want to say that any feedback, good or bad, will be appreciated, as I would much rather be hurt in my ego then in the wrong path.
The Situation:
That been said, am here to talk to you about Rift In the Prophecy (R.I.P) an tactical MMORPG build on JME3, an java open source game engine. The project has been doing great so far, as we already have produce a little demo of what the combat should look like and we are still working on the game designs documentation. We are 5 so far, me as project manager and programmer, Cedric and Romain on the game design, J.Will on the sound, and Francisca on the interface. So far the only real problem that we have is the lack of artist, 2D or 3D, but having more programmers on the team could also be nice.
What we are looking for:
For the moment we are looking for the world to feel like something between Fallout and Skyrim: a desolated world whit some oasis of civilization, whit magic ruins and strange people on the road. We had in mind something a bit cartoony, to contrast the dark theme of the game, as we don’t want a grim world, but to tell a beautiful story in a sad reality.
So that’s been said, we need 2D and 3D models, but we don’t need to own it or anything, as the goal here is to have something solid enough to make a kick starter out of it and then pay the people for their work, and even buy the assets you have summit us to then own the rights to publish the game. We are also looking for concept art, help for the interface, and spell icon and all that good stuff.
For more information:
For the moments all the updates are put on the JME3 Forum, so if you want more info, here is the link:

Some Video
Those are some music that compose your sound artiste for the game:

And if you’re not afraid of French, here is the last demo we did. The fact is, everyone in the team can speak English pretty well, but as your native language is all French, I simply don’t take the time needed to produce any English material. But I would be more than happy to do so, I just need an excuse :p

Hello everyone, been a while since i posted but well the game have porgress quite a lot :p We will soon finish your sprint but here is the latest video we did to show your map editor.

I'll probably soon post here a new thread cause we are starting a new side project. But well, info will follow next week.
Maybe you can profit from this:

There is a lot of nice characters in there
Ya i saw the site, its pretty sweet :p But so far i could not fin any *game ready animated caracter*. Then again, I might be asking too much x) But realy every model i have dowload from there was either build in a Video mind set or not animated at all. I actully found better stuff here!
But I guess I could try there request system. We already have some concept art/Orthographique stuff that i would loveeee to see animated, but am a programmer, and realy my 3D skills are... limited x)
I have some game ready monsters for open dungeons, just click my name and you can see my stuff, also look for :

http://opengameart.org/content/beetle-golem-animated
http://opengameart.org/content/iron-armor-set
http://opengameart.org/content/lizardman-0
But, what art style are you going for? do you have anything in mind?
Hey! Am actually using the rock golem as a filler for your berzeker class right now! it was a very nice job x) I love the animation and everything and it exactly what I was looking for testing . It also reminds me that I should put im on some credit list. I'll take note right now before I forget x)
I remember trying the beetle one, but I had some problem with the texture when I did. Probably my fault though, i'll try them all right now x) thanks! Il also try some of your stuff, i actully was suppose to add the flag you did the game, but never had time. For the style I would say a bit more carton then the golem, but still pretty close of it, something a bit like league of legends universe, whit less details of course x) You know what, il share the concept art right here too, I was not sure if I should because the thread was pretty calm but hey, why not. Just take note that this ain't totally open source, as the right are not mine, but too a guy in the team. If the game fails, I guess I could reuse everything, but I would not bet on it :p

Pretty good progress mate. I like Java programming and would love to learn more in game programming. I have a android game on the play store -https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tankkiller I wouldn't mind doing a few tasks :)
First, sorry for long replying time, for some reason GMail mark this forum mail as a spam x)
Second, thanks! I could really use a hand, programming the main core is pretty long and I do have a few shorter tasks that could be cool but I don't have the time for.
Just send me your Skype address on private and we will discuss all of this when you're available :p
ChaosEsque uses alot from here for medieval weapons etc:

You should check out this artist's work:

He makes great opensource stuff.
You see, no one is gonna get motivated to model something for you if keep all rigths to the model, if you release those concepts under any of the libre licenses your chances go up by a lot. CC-BY-SA is pretty good for that.
Thanks Chaos, I’ll check it.
Danimal I must say I kinda disagree with you. We are looking for people that want to join the dynamic of a little team and work on their portfolio. They would still own the model and see it been use in a game directly which I believe is what most 3D modeler and animator are looking for.
The problem also is I kinda fear the redundancy of a model as the development time for the game will be rather long compare to much shorter games. Plus the asset are kinda linked to the game story, so as much as I don’t care if a crate get into (or from) the public domain I would still rather keep thing like the Berzeker at least a little bit private.
I wanted to ask if you are still looking for 2d Artists. I am interested in joining. You can click my name to view some of my work, or if you want i could show you some of my better samples that I made for clients

Hello everyone, passing by for a few updates.
Firts Jcrown, i just sended you a respond in private message.
Second, the in game town is in production and it will be a desert type,
crystal mining and cactus farming city build around a crashed colonial ship
between 2 mountains. But, even if the main idea is pretty much done, we would
still need a 2D artist to help our two 3D modelers. The theme song is already
done though, and you can find it at that link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTe_Rm5zOtQ
Also the Berserker is getting model in 3D, and we will need someone for the
rigging and animation so if you love the concept art feel free to apply :p As
things goes, we could also use the help of a story writer to help us build the
first quest. We have the idea of how things would go and how is model the story
and the universe, but the whole thing would still need some writing down x)
We also have some work done on the animated texture that should really help
the visual of the combat. That interface should also be soon be updated, but we
had some computer problems and some data were lost, meaning it might be
delayed.
As always am available for questions, and if you want to join us, just send me
a mail with your name, desired position, Skype address and portfolio if you
have one at JavaKhanStudio@Gmail.com
Have a nice day everyone!
