Voice Acting

Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away, a Jedi master by the name of Lendrick commissioned an apprentice of uncertain skill for a solo mission. Unfortunately, the mind of the padawan was overwhelmed by the power of the Dark Side, and he was imprisoned in a cell of his own creation.

Translation:

Several years ago Bart commissioned me to do some voice acting for OGA.  Due to mental health, I was unable to complete it.

I'm going to give it another shot, but I'd like some help and feedback.  My goal is to record some voices useful for several games. I'm not trying for perfection. I'm working toward voices that could be used to get a demo out and be replaced later by a professional or someone more skilled.  I'm not able to record for specific games at this time, but I would love your input on a common game dialogue.  If there is some script that you feel would be helpful for your game as well as other games, then please leave a suggestion. Right now I will only be working on the voices a couple of hours a week so it will be one section at a time. It takes awhile for me to edit out my mistakes. ;) These are the files I uploaded several years ago...

My first record will be using the Soldier's voice.  Hopefully, I can finish the recording and editing by the end of March.  When I finish that one, then on to the next voice. I am also researching and considering the possibility of changing equipment.  Right now I'm using Audacity for editing and recording with a Tascam DR-05. If you have any advice for recording or editing feel free to message me or leave a comment.

Thanks everyone for your support!
