Hi! I moved recently to a new project that is progressing very well. I've recently added a wiki and a manual to explain most of the new features the game has.
This is the website: https://glitchapp.codeberg.page/_boxclip/
The game is still at a relative early stage and not even the title is 100% decided, however I have a good feeling about how is progressing and I think the project could be finished.
If you are interested to contribute to the game you can do it in all of the following fields:
Coders: Help fixing bugs and adding new features and content.
Artist: From assets to music feel free to submit or reccomend any assets that could be used in future levels or content for the game.
Level designers: The game is built on top of an engine which features a very nice and easy to use level editor, you can design levels without coding a single line of code. I advise to check the level design guidelines on the wiki for more info if you are interested on contributing to this.
Betatesters: Feel free to play the game and report any bugs and or add your feedback and wishes.
I hope you like the game and I'll be glad for people interested on the project.
Thank you!
I combined two assets to create closed doors / passages which will be eventually used on the game mechanichs of the game.
I was wondering if you think they are worth sharing? I'll be glad for feedback.
The original assets that I combined can be found here:
Castle door by Reemax https://opengameart.org/content/castle-door CC-BY 3.0
Door/Tunnel Portal by Varkalandar https://opengameart.org/content/doortunnel-portal CC-BY 3.0
* They are not the final version, I'm still polishing them and cleaning some rough areas.

I created a collection with the assets already used or to be used in the game: https://opengameart.org/content/assets-selected-for-my-open-source-platform-game-spinny-the-runner
As this is an open source and a collaborative project, feel free to suggest any assets that may fit to the game. I'll be collecting the ones that fit better.
If anyone is interested on contributing with new content, new assets or new levels (the game has a built in level editor) or development contributions feel free to submit them and or / join the loomio group created for the engine: https://groups.f-hub.org/boxclip/
The best assets and levels may be added to the game, even if they do not fit in the story mode they can still be added to the casual mode and or be downloaded and added from the website.
The engine itself is free and open source, if you want to create your own platform game from zero using boxclip you are welcome to do it and I'll be glad to know about the game. An effort at isolating the engine from the game and make it standalone has been started here: https://codeberg.org/glitchapp/boxclip-engine (this is only interesting for anyone who want to make a game from zero)
The level editor is again functional and now it features hundreds of new assets including:
If also features all the new entities added to the engine such as:
Feel also free to send me your creations with it, the best ones may be added to the game.
Update: I've recenly created a brief guide with screenshots to try to make the level editor even easier. There you can find most shortcuts and keys used on it. You can also trigger a help window by pressing the key "h" while editing a level:
The guide can be seen here: https://codeberg.org/glitchapp/Spinny-the-runner/wiki/The-level-editor
