No, I want to avoid surprises. Nobody wants to upload a 300 meg file only to find out afterwards that 200 megs was the limit. It's like those forums that you sign up for which inform you after the fact that your password needs to contain a number. When you submit the form again, they inform you that your password is too short. When you submit the form again, they inform you that your password needs mixed case. In reality, the form should say "Password must be 8 characters long and contain mixed case and a number." :)
Just to point out, I noticed you picked both CC0 and CC-BY as the licenses. CC0 basically allows to people to do whatever they want with it without attributing you. If your intent was just to say that people can do whatever they want and attribution would be appreciated, the way I usually do that is say "attribution appreciated" in the description. Mind you, there's nothing *wrong* with releasing this under CC0 and CC-BY, but it makes your intent a bit confusing.
I'd be willing to remove the google ads as a condition of the hosting -- honestly, they're aren't performing as I'd hoped, so I'm probably just going to get rid of them anyway.
As for my choice of operating system, I'm not willing to budge on that. Furthermore, if they have an issue with there being non-libre things on here, it wouldn't work out anyway -- I still need to be able to encode MP3 files for the fallback sound previews (although I'm going to be providing HTML5+ogg for the browsers that can handle it).
In summary, getting a sponsor would be nice, but I would prefer to pay out of pocket for my own preferred hosting setup than have free (gratis) hosting and be constrained by it.
Haha, these are awesome. :)
How much money is needed per month? All this technical stuff is fine but business people need a dollar amount.
Well, I'm asking for the actiual hosting, and not cash. :)
That being said, I believe I could purchase this for roughly $120/month, so if someone were willing to sponsor us that way, it would be just as good.

Nice work! :)

That's a pretty idea for a drunk dude. I'll see about doing that. :)
