Oh, really? That's awesome - thank you very much! =D

Very nice! You've really mastered Batman - that was some impressive wall jumping haha. I hadn't heard of a few of those games. Blue Shadow reminds me a lot of Ninja Gaiden.

Great choice - I love the soundtrack! For me...I'm honestly not sure. Mario 3, Zelda 1, Mega  Man 6, and Final Fantasy 3 (the Famicom one) are probably my favourites.

SNES or N64 for me, but the NES is really close =) It never ceases to amaze me what some developers could do with that system.

Thanks! Glad you like them.

While I appreciate it, there's no need to ask - the licenses I chose all include Commercial Use rights. So go right ahead! I'd love to see the game when it's done though =D

Best of luck with it. I hope you find the right person for the job!

Games (particularly when it comes to indie stuff) are a bit different - you'll be dealing with unpaid (initially) freelancers, rather than employees, so you have to attract them. I've been in a very similar position - RPG Maker game, offering royalties, not wanting to show too much - but that attitude really doesn't get you anywhere in my experience.

It's a forum topic, so naturally it's open to everyone, and we're just trying to help you. There are lots of people like you (particularly when it comes to RPG Maker games), so you've got to try and stand out.

As someone who has had a game fairly extensively pirated (including a bizarrely re-named Chinese version XD), I can tell you that your game will probably end up somewhere like Pirate Bay after it's released. In fact, pretty much every commercial RPG Maker game I've ever seen ends up there (as well as 200 other locations). But pre-release screenshots featuring default RPG Maker VX graphics and running on an engine that's owned by Enterbrain? There's not really much to be stolen from that. At worst, another RPG Maker developer might decide to copy your map layout, but even that's unlikely.

You listed the game as complete, so it's good to re-inforce that with media and information. If you don't want to show off a lot, or offer detailed screenshots on request, maybe just give a paragraph story synopsis and some general information about the gameplay (e.g. what type of battle system does it feature?). Just give prospective artists confidence that this is a project worth looking at =)

All Kenney's doing is trying to help you - he has a lot of experience in game development.

Don't forget, you're trying to convince someone to spend a very large amount of time working on your game - they probably need a bit more information than what you wrote in your first post. While all that definitely needed to be addressed, there's not a whole lot of info about the game itself. If the game is completed (in it's base form, anyway), then there should be plenty of things to show interested artists.

It's great that you're offering royalties, but the people viewing this thread have no idea if your game will make money, let alone if it's worth their time. You need them just as much as they need you, so show off your work - make them confident that working with you is a good choice. The screenshot of the repair shop is a great start, as it shows off an area from the game that looks nice, is complete, and relates to the gameplay mechanics.

Wow, that's very generous of you. I just took a look, and you've made some fantastic compositions. I'm not sure if I'll ever have the opportunity, but I'd love to make use of this resource one day.

Thanks a lot for supporting the community!

Not at all, thank YOU! And please do - I'd really appreciate it if you would share it around! It's a shame that you don't have an iOS device, but I hope you might get to play it at some point.

Thanks again!
