Same here when trying to submit art. More precisely when all fields are filled and I hit the "Save" button. The submission did *not* upload successfully.

I did not intend to necromance this thread, but I noticed that it leads people to outdated versions of the game. Hence one more announcement:

I do not intend to necromance this thread, so refer to the above mentioned web site for news and for the latest version.

.xcf is the native format of gimp (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XCF_(file_format)). For .xpm see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X_PixMap or my post http://opengameart.org/forumtopic/feature-request-allow-xpm-file-format.

Both can be opened by gimp and converted by imagemagick, which are free and libre so should be available for any platform. Additionally, .xpm can be edited by any text editor.

I cannot change the license terms as I am not the copyright holder (assuming that your request was specifically about this level of Cuyo). To approach Immanuel about this, I suggest the mailing list cuyo-devel@nongnu.org

That said, it is quite common to have GPL game code with non-GPL art. Shouldn't it work the other way around as well?

A question about the licenses. Your github space does not contain any license notice and your OGA submissions all state just CC-BY-SA 3.0. Was it intentional not to continue the GPL 3.0 license from the LPC submissions your work is based on? If so, why?

Thanks.

So what is the policy regarding compression? So far I only submitted xpm files inside of tar.bz2 files, thus not actually using the new feature I requested. How should I handle future submissions?

Some of the above are just modified LPC assets. Here is how and why they were modified:

bee.png:
- fixed shadow colour
- separated shadow from rest into two files

birdbath.png:
- made it a bit shorter to match flying height of bees

buckets_wo_shadow.png:
- removed the shadows

frame.png:
- moved and resized to achieve the layout required by frame.ml (the same layout as fadeout.png and speechbubble.png)
- filled with semi-transparent black

house.png:
- Added an open version of the window. It is hardly visible in the game, though.

platformtree.png:
- made the tree a bit shorter to match height of water stream

signpost.png:
- added stand-alone vertical arrows for HUD

vehicle_all.png:
- changed colour of smoke to match smoke.png
- bugfix: water gun had been missing in one direction wet_princess.png,

wet_princess.xcf:
- the file name says it all

Downdate, just in case it wasn't clear enough: The fact that this is very nice is entirely not due to me, I only removed some shadows.

Thanks, cwebber. Now I was able to download.

Somehow it does not work, though. Shortly after GRUB, nothing happens with almost no CPU usage by virtualbox. I guess I will try again after the next OS upgrade.

I guess I won't go into the trouble to separately package the images-with-sources. After all, it is all there in the game package (see http://opengameart.org/content/obok-and-gossip for the original version or http://www.weyer-zuhause.de/mark/software/lpc.html for the latest version), in the directory images and its subdirectories.

Additional modification information:
canopy_*:
- Completely new arrangement of tiles but the assembled canopies still look
the same. In particular, the source image leaves.png is unchanged.
