I can do some art if you want me to, I included an example of a character portrait I made for the game I'm currently working on. (The image is watermarked and the quality is kinda poor because I really don't want anyone to steal it.)
It's easier to submit games and vote on itch. It's also more manageable there.
Also, i liked surts idea with 2 parts. Maybe we could have two "groups". One group who create assets that are exclusive to the jam. The other group can use those assets in their games.

It sounds a bit spooky in my opinion, I bet it would work great in a retro horror game :)
