It's nice to see another veteran coder on here! I'm a programmer as well, with over 22 years industry experience, much of it as a game developer. I started out as a hobbyist in the early 80s on the likes of the Apple II and Commodore 64. My work took me in many other directions lately, mostly into robotics, but now that the casual gaming boom has made it possible for small teams to compete without a hollywood budget, I'm happy to get back into it again. I originally became a coder because of games, so it's nice to be able to have the option again and opportunities we haven't seen since the 80s and early 90s.
Like you, I came here primarily looking for art and hopefully an artist who might be interested in working on game projects. I do have a specific game design already as well as music tracks for use in that project as well as future games and sound effects. I've also been scouting around for another programmer to collaborate with, because working in a vaccuum is never good for creative flow, which is especially important for a game project. If you might be interested, feel free to let me know. In any case, best of luck with your projects!
