I was confused since when I searched for imagery to draw the plant I found "mais" as the botanic term as well. But for common use I will switch zu corn. It's better for sure...
This can not be common practice. The artwork is indepenant from programming. Other wise such sites would be useless. Of course proprietary work might be different in some aspects but I'm not very firm in this since I'm not interested in supporting proprietary works. Wahat you can do with libraries and other ressources is entirely dependant on the concrete licencing you are using. Some free licences even allow the use of free ressources in proprietary products.
The SVG is much brighter. I considerably leveled down the brightness in the png file because it was way to bright when it was placed in the game. Actually even the brightness levels are very different, but you don't see most of it in the small preview since the brightest parts are the the very fine lines. Especially because of them the sprite looks very real in the game, where I used it.
However. You can adjust the brightness how ever you want. The SVG file is available.
I guess different surroundings need yery different settings...
Thanks you are absolutely right. I should have cross-checked it. I just heard the name and it's alyays dangerous if an English native spells letters trying to pronounce it for a German ear...
Great work.
Only: You have put two "5" and no "6" in there...
