The game will always be free. I might consider putting advertisements in the future. The open source will be for desktop and android. So the open source version will replace the one on the android market and the themes will work with the open source one.
Thanks for your interest. So at the moment I have three versions of the game. (A) which is existing on the market, as seen in the pictures above. The second, (B), which I have been working on to improve the game and here is what it looks like:
And the third is (C) which is the one which will be open source.
I am about to release (B) to the market because and I wanted to make sure that it was good before I release it, so. Do you think the current helicopter looks ok?
What kind of background does your game support? Parallax?
Yes the game supports parallax backgrounds. I have three themes in the market: Racing, Shark, and Andy.
All of them need background parallax images and Andy is in need of new sprites :D.
Is the animation loop frame number limited?
I would like the helicopter to be animated in version (C) and the loop frame number has no restrictions at the moment.
Is the game playable on Linux/Win/Mac if we want to test it but don't have an android?
Version (A) and (B) are only playable through the android emulator (I can guide you through set setup if you like). Version (C) will be playable as a desktop game.
Can you tell the dimensions you would like for the helicopter?
The copter size is 100 x 50
So really I wanted to make the themes look good before I release version (B) to the market. I think the default helicopter is ok right now and we can use a new helicopter in version (C) but the themes need to be refreshed. I have a sample from someone which we can work with. You can follow the progress of version (C) on http://hgdev.blogspot.com/ and I will post an executable jar file from which you can run the game once I manage to implement some more items.
