It's a very nice portait, but to me it looks quite female, or at least boyish too :p
Looks like he's wearing mascara. That tends make characters look more feminine. If there was less contrast between the eye-color and the skin tone, he'd look more masculine. At least according to MIT:
You could darken a little his beard. After all, shave was not as good as now not so long ago ;)

Does it matter? There's nothing unrealistic about it - not every male in real life matches up to our society's so-called perception of "masculine", and this should be even less of a consideration for a fantasy genre. If it's not what someone is looking for, as with any other image, there are plenty of other images on the site to choose from.
You know what? Your criticism/whining will remain unnoticed since the uploader is not the creator of this.
