Hi OGA community,
while I am mainly a programmer I recently produced an okay tileset while doing some tests with my WIP general purpose 2D engine. I present to you, the simple 2D cave tileset. Together with some creative use of the rock tile set available here ( http://opengameart.org/content/rock-tileset ), you should have everything you need for a simple dungeon crawler or cave puzzle game.
The individual tiles have a size of 16x16, there is 1 separator pixel between the tiles and the unused spaces on the right and lower parts of the image are 9 pixels wide.
Enjoy :-)
This contribution was inspired by and re-mixes some parts of Buch's platformer tileset ( http://opengameart.org/content/platformer-basic-tileset-grass-and-rock ) which is another piece of really nice work.

pretty dang good for programmer art! :)
Thanks. When developing games, you always pick up new skills.
Still, it is nowhere near enough...
Well maybe not on the level of the stuff some of the maestro's around here crank out but still plenty hot to my eyes!
Anyway, as someone also working on a 16x16 game, I can say it is quite a challenge to work at that scale, really makes you appreciate the genius of all those NES artists.
