I am resubmitting my new keyboard song as you have deleted it.
(TrumpWon_FeministsBTFO_KeyboardJamSession2016.ogg )
When anyone has a belief opposed to yours you censor them and delete their work.
I will remeber this my whole life. I do not forget slights.
The audacity file took forever to upload and you deleted that too.
(without even messaging me, a silent deletion you thought I wouldn't notice).
I hope times have changed now and you will not be welcome in this country for doing this.
I hope the same for twitter and facebook.
Considering his previous comments and submissions, I think his account was hacked
I don't think the account was hacked. I submitted the song to my other accounts aswell: mikeeusa.newgrounds.com and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4BdHZfpffM
(Ofcourse I can't upload the audacity source files there tho, and not ogg either)
Secondly clearly the playing style is similar to my previous songs.
Thirdly I've had the same opinions forever.
The source zip is 73mb and takes forever to upload. So I haven't reuploaded it.
I'd like to reupload the source it but if submissions which are fully opensource are going to disappear ...
Its strange that there wasn't even a message in my inbox.
Is it impossible that the account was hacked and the song deleted?
No as the website was hacked before (as we see in a post on the front page).
Also with all the crying and rioting on TV, the name of the song is a statement of fact. It is the name of the song: I did the recording while thinking of what was going on: Trump won, self proclaimed feminists were crying and currently are rioting and protesting, including throwing petrol bombs at police.
The song name cannot be changed as it was recorded with all that in mind. I chose the perfect-fifth synth setting to give a regal troubador sound to the recording as Trump is kinda like a king or emperor.
@MikeeUSA: It wasn't deleted. It was unpublished. Something I offered to undo if you'd be willing to separate the political parts of the submission. It was only unpublished after 4 days from when I asked for the political components to be separated. It was unpublished because your only response to my request was to make additional political and religious comments. Not because I disagree with your political view, but because discussion of politics and religion (in any view, including mine) are not allowed on OGA.
It wasn't silent; I sent a copy of the following comment to you via the site's automatic notification system:
The offer is still on the table if you'd be willing to keep the politics separate. I can restore the original submission if you'd like. It even has the audacity file. You'll notice I haven't "censored" your resubmission either. Mostly because that one actually has most of the political stuff removed... which is all I was asking for in the first place, man.
Hold a grudge if you want, but you'll be holding it against a fan of your work.

The only 2 actions I took before this was:
1) to delete an autogenerated list of my recent downloads.
2) Make a comment on the song comments thread.
Is it possible that there is some bug related to 1? Maybe.
I know for a fact I didn't delete the song submission however.
I know it was the list.
No. It was unpublished because of #2) Your comment on the song comments thread was potentially inflamatory and continued to discuss politics and religion. It was to avoid a flame war building. However, it is (preferably) a temporary thing. Would you like me to republish it?

MedicineStorm: I didn't get the message, it still isn't in the que on the MessagingSystem (perhaps this is a site bug, maybe it only sends via email and doesn't send via MSG, perhaps add a few lines in the PHP to copy to a in-site-msg). The email address is probably a yahoo address that I seldom ever use because of the now well known problems with yahoo (they've been hacked completely, they lock everyone out of their accounts, demand phone number, etc).
Is there a way I can make a link from the old audacity zip in the new submission?
It takes forever to upload it. Sometimes the upload fails.
Also would it be possible to increase the limits for .zip files (it's 200mb currently). I have a number of audacity source files I was unable to release as they are over the limit.
The reason I made the fork of the game is because the Xonotic people (previously the Nexuiz people) were deleting every map I submitted. Why? They didn't like my opinion. The last map I ever submitted to their forum was SpaceLoop (a torus in space, with interior, that you can walk around like in 2001 movie). After that I just forked the game. Years later they still have around 18 weapons. I have over 120 in my forked version, 50+ maps of my own, city generation, so on and so on. Still some claim I "don't do anything" and "rip everybody off". The "geekfeminist" people aswell as the debian people were more-or-less claiming this too until I started crediting myself in the xontic-credits.txt file; I didn't want to have to do that. I thought credits in the map files themselves was sufficient.

I can't speak to the Xonotic project stuff. However, the abandoned email would explain why you didn't get the original notification. I don't know if I can cross-associate the audacity file, but I'll see what I can do.
I can definitely restore the original submissions, which will preserve any favorites and links to it. That's good. But I'd have to insist on your lyrics in the original submission be removed or only available via link to a different page. I can appriciate the marriage of the political and historical aspects of the song title, but it would go a long way in demonstrating some good faith if you'd be willing to tone it down quite a bit. Something like "US election results 2016", I dunno. I'm not trying to hamstring your expression, but politics just don't go well with OGA.
Which would you prefer?
P.S. Are you able to edit your profile to update the email address? It might help a lot since the notifications rely on a working email address for each account.

Thank you for the explanation.
Once I had my models on this site, for instance, the claims that I'm lying when I say I do many models for the ChaosEsque Anthology fork of Xonotic decreased greatly. People never check the commit logs of the media-source git repo, and if they don't like what one is saying they claim one does nothing. As if working on opensource is the exclusive milieu of one side of society.
Now as for the quality of the work: this differs from song to song. I ususally do alot of jamsessions and then record one or two. The thing is when recording I feel that someone is "watching" me, so often there are mistakes and it's not as fluid and dynamic. But I hope the tracks are useful to someone and they can always improve them as it's opensource and they have the audacity files. Also the more put out, the more likely someone might find one that is useful in their game or short movie.
For models the quality is based on how much time can be invested and the triangle limit (the engine gets slow after about 1.3mb of model data), also I like to keep the modeling time at 3 days if possible. It's really a drag to work on the same model for a full week (unlike maps which are fun for months even to work on)
I agree with that, and I appreciate you taking the time to upload the audacity files. They are still present. I can restore them, but are you willing to have the political stuff separated?
EDIT: I can't leave this situation as it is indefinitely. I've sent a PM. Let me know what you decide as soon as possible. If I don't hear back from you in about 24 hours, I'll assume you've moved on to your next project. :)

Honestly, the last thing this site (or practically any other) needs is more ugly, political, grandstanding, alienating bullshit. We're getting way too much of that from the media as it is.
Deciding what content is or is not appropriate to the site is the prerogative of the ownership and its selected agents (administrators/moderators). That's not "censorship"; it's a completely ordinary exercise of private property and the right of free association.
MikeeUSA has agreed to have the political and religious discussion removed from the original submission.
I have removed the REsubmission as it is now duplicate and abridged and have restored the original (sans-politics) submission.
I'll leave this thread here for a bit, but if it starts prompting discussions that hint at an impending flame war, I'll have to lock and archive it.
Anyone with questions or comments about this, please feel free to comment here (keep it civil) or you can Private Message me (less civility required. Be as rude as you want in the PM, no one will see my tears)

>politics
>on OGA
OH NO PLEASE. There's absolutely no need for that.
Although if people want to upload politicized art I don't give a shit. But there's literally no reason to start political debates on a site like this.
