Blender Version: 2.66a, r55057
Model Version: 1.1
3D preview available @ https://sketchfab.com/show/wr3vp1zmLwuirmHT1umFmviAn6T
What is included:
1 x BA-2 base mesh (3380 vertices, 6964 Edges, 3616 faces, 6696 Tris, UV unwrapped)
1 x Diffuse map (2048 x 2048)
1 x Normal map (2048 x 2048)
1 x Bump map (2048 x 2048)
1 x Specular map (2048 x 2048)
1 x Emission map (2048 x 2048)
1 x Animation armature
Complete model is not manifold, but rather a composition of manifold "parts". Each part is manifold and all parts were combined into a single mesh named "Bot.Mesh".
Maps included are all large 2048 x 2048. Reason is they can be reduced but not grown, resize them to fit as needed.
Texture samples sourced from:
http://www.plaintextures.com/
http://www.goodtextures.com/
Textures were otherwise hand painted.
There is admittingly an error in the bump/normal mapping in the emission areas. They are not very noticable, and with the emission map enabled they are concealed.
Revision History:
Version 1.0 - 01/21/2013; Initial release.
Version 1.1 - Sat Mar 23 14:36:46 CDT 2013; Updated branding.

Great model, but sadly neiter http://www.plaintextures.com/ nor http://www.goodtextures.com/ allow you to license the resulting textures as CC0 strictly legally speaking. I know it sounds stupid as the general requirements they state are fulfilled, but to relicense a copyrighted work you have to either be in full posession or have based your work only on fully compatible licenses.
it reminded me of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuC6q9kbryw
so you might want to
* make barrels and/then side arms retractable
* make leg join look downward so that legs can wrap up the head

Has the texture licensing issue been resolved?
My personal take on it is there is no violation, so yes, though there was nothing to be resolved, just some confusion. I have adheared to their terms of use and had exchanges with both sites (more to my intent and purpose, not these specific models, they are both aware I do CC work and what my output entails).
The community, however, seems to be disatsified with the legal speak that they have access to by either site. I wish that conversation was happening somewhere else as not to cast doubt and fear here, but since it is here, let's resolve it. Dialog has been taking place here: http://opengameart.org/content/sap-1-sapper-bot-mark-1
I will yield to the communities decision. I am more than happy to remove my models and bow out if that is what is decided.
Hi everyone,
I am the chap running the goodtextures.com website.
I received an email earlier today from someone asking me to clarify the use of the textures. Hence why I am here.
Although the goodtexturs content is not currently licensed under CCO, the terms of use are very open for their usage.
So long as you use any of the textures in combination with something, be that a 3d model, website, game, background or anything really. You are absolutely free to do what you want with that piece of work. You can sell it, give it away, feed it to your dog or do anything you want. You will receive no objections from me.
My only objections would be if you were to take the textures as is, and then either sell them, upload them to a texture website or distribute them as a texture bundle for example.
On another note. I have been thinking for a long time now about making the whole site more open and maybe integrating the different CCO licenses similar to Deviantart. Just not sure how to do it at the moment.
I hope that answered some of your questions. Should anyone have any more queries, I would be more than happy to stay in touch.
Best regards,
Simon
Thank you for your response, goodtextures. There might have been a conflict between those stipulations and the CC0 license, but the textures are not actually included in this submission (I think... I'm not the best with blender), so the issue is moot. :)
