“BTW the game is FREE”
Can you please also release its source code, under a free license?
Hey, thanks for your comment! I meant FREE (gratis) to download and to play ;-) Though I didn't think to release it as an open-source game I might if there's any enough interest in it.
I for one refuse to play proprietary games. Releasing it as free/libre software (= “open source”) would probably increase interest for it, there is nothing to lose if the game is already free (gratis).
Calinou please. He contributed a quality asset with a permissive license. Source code of the game is not relevant.
Happy you like it. Hope someone will use it! :D
The license of the asset has nothing to do with the source license, as they are entirely separate works (yes, even for the GPL).
It is not an unreasonable or illegal demand, so my request is still active.
It is unreasonable. If that was in the cards it would have happened already. Being pushy about it is just poor form.
He is free to release his sourcecode if he wants it, since he is the owner of it. If it make you itchy and prevent you to play the game, you are free too to pass to another one and at least give some respect to the contributor.
Our beloved opensource world isn't a dictatorship :)
i didn't expect an open-source debate when I uploaded this image :D but I must say that I'm an open-source enthusiast and I use free/open-souce softwares for over a decade now.
This is actually my first game ever released. I've been working on it the last 9 months and it woulnd't have be possible without open-source softwares and the communities! In fact, the game has been created, to name a few, using cocos2d-x, box2d, Lua, Inkscape, Gimp and a bunch of other excelent tools/C++/Lua libraries.
I try to make a living out of game development but as you know it's really difficult. I know it's not that much but I try to give back to the community when possible (stackoverflow,forums,github...). As I said I might release the source gladly later but I don't think there's any interest for me and from the communty right now.
Hi Dear,
How I will take the licence for using this art.
Hi Ashishv,

If you liked it you may also like my game. Don't hesitate to download it on the AppStore or GooglePlay. It's free!
