Hello Everyone,

welcome to heroes of ages past! A new 2d game combining elements from action rpg and crafting. Some of you might have seen my old post where I was showing this game as a hack and slash but I have decided to completely revamp the game and here it is! 

Story : Don't wanna spoil everything right off the bat, but here is a rough summary:

The story takes place in a world where magic used to be abundant but humans (of course! stupid humans!) abused of it and it started disapearing. Fearing for their future, humanity voted together to ban the use of magic and keep its secret well hidden and pass them only to a selected few. As years went by, humanity began forgetting about magic and eventually, the world was once again back to normal and humanity was thriving. However, little did the humans know that not everybody was following their rules about magic. Some of them, called the heretics, kept practising magic in secret, hoping to one day be able to get their revenge on everybody who would oppose them. One of them in particular had a terrible secret... He practised dark rituals in which he would interact with demons and draw power from them. 

One day, Intent on taking control of the world, he decided that he had had enough and opened a portal to the demon realm, hoping to summon a powerful demon that would help him take control of the world. Foolish human, little did he know that the demon he summoned was none other than the demon lord himself and as soon as he set foot in the world, it was the beginning of the end for all mankind. The demon started his rampage by burning and destroying everything in his way, including the heretics that summonded him... he was unstoppable! 

Of course, the archmages had heard of this and started planning for a counter-attack. Their only hope was to look not in the present, but in the past, where magic was abundant enough to help them against this monstrosity. They all gathered in the center of the world, where what was left of magic was in its highest concentration, and initiated a ritual with which they would be able to summon heroes from ages past that could combat the demon and his hordes of minions. 

This is where your story begins...

Whew! That was totally not a summary but oh well... In this game, you will play the role of a hero from the past that can use magic to fight against the demonic hordes. You start off naked, nothing but your bare fists and you have to survive! Of course, you will not stay naked for long as you can gather resources from all over the place, learn new schematics/blueprints from those newly discovered resources and craft a ton of items!! even better, the more you craft a certain item, the better it will become (items have 100 levels!!). At max level, items will get a 100% stat boost. And, SPOILER ALERT, at some point in the game, you will be able to build a type of construction that will let you enchant these crafted items to give them some random stats, and even have a chance to get some unique items!! Moreover, you will be able to build stuff in the game, so if you like to spend some time building a beautiful home filled with furniture and decoration, you will be able to do that. Building will not be mandatory, so for those of you who simply like to get down to business and destroy those demons, you will be able to do that as well! The game will feature character classes, each with different skills that they can spend points on leveling, making each character unique. Finally, during your travels, you will meet some npcs that you will be able to recruit and they will each have skills that can be leveled and full inventory so that you can also equip them and they can defend/fight/heal for you!
