EDIT (As of 9/28/2016) -
Hello Everyone! I've decided to release my zombie sprite set under CC0 Public Domain. I hope you share alterations and additions under CC0 Public Domain as well to the community (though obviously not required and you can do as you wish). Have Fun!
ZOMBIES!!! ARRG! haha enjoy, make sure to follow the liscensing.
**Fat Zombie is now included!! (64x64 size)**
I made these long before I knew about the liberated pixel cup, so that's why all my sprites are in this format. Hope you guys can still use them for something! Have fun!
**Edit**
If you like this style, you can now enjoy millions of ZOMBIE combonations found here, Enjoy!:

557 downloads? that can't be right.. someone want to fix that?
Fame is the price you pay for making nice zombie stuff.
PS - Next time you use my likeness, please ask me first. I have a little more hair than that. :P
Probably someone thought clicking the DL link repeatedly might speed up the download. Any way cute zombie family :D
@cboyden-
Thanks, I'll make sure to attribute your physical form in the future, haha.
@vk-
That makes sense, doesn't really matter to me, just didn't want anyone having false hopes. ;)
Zombies + sprites = win!
Great job!
I noticed a similar oddity when I uploaded http://opengameart.org/content/freeciv-terrain - see water.png at 1217, much higher than the rest. But I recall that even when I first uploaded this, the file started off at around 900...
@mdwh-
Huh, thats weird, well at least others are having the same thing so mine doesn't look way out of proportion.
@tortoises-
Thank you, feel free to tinker with them if you'd like!
Alright I am new to this site and I got to say it is pretty cool.
I am going to school for game programming that being said im a coder and not an artist so finding stuff to use in a game is hard, but now that I found this site might me a little easier. I dont wanna abuse this site or anyones hard work so what do I have to do to use these Zombies legally without plagerising. There perfect for what I am making. Good Job btw
@Dooberz-
Well, best rule of thumb is if you don't know what the artist wants, just ask (Which you did perfectly, thanks!)
The reason why I put my art as CC-BY-SA is that I'm currently using my art for an iOS/Andriod game in development. Apple (iOS games) force developers to liscence their code & art with the Apple liscense. Since GPL/CC-BY-SA liscences require derivations to have the same liscence, people are not able to use my art in iOS games since the two liscenses (GPL/CC-BY-SA and Apple) don't work together. I'm not sure how much say (legally) I have for people using the art in Android devices, though I'd still rather not have people use it there).
This seems pretty mean of me, but realize that I do want others to use my art. I just don't want to have to compete against games (with my artwork) on the App/Google Play store. Since Zombie RPG sprites target such a small audience, this would likely happen.
If you aren't developing for mobile platforms, please send me a PM. I'd be really happy to see my art used in games! Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! :)
**Extra Note**
Also, if you havent seen it yet, I'm currently making a Human RPG Sprite Pack for my game (compatibale with the RPG Zombie Sprites). Here I am making the characters extremely customizable with thousands of different combinations. Eventually I hope/plan to make that library CC-BY since they can be used for any RPG, not just zombie affiliated ones. I'm planning on having some artists help me with the expansion of the set in the future. They are found here:

Hi Curt,
I love you artstyle and maybe used them wrongly. Reading the license I thought that attribution was enought to use them? Now, reading this, I may have been wrong. Not planning to release on any mobile platform, just making a flash game for fun. I have you mentioned in the credits screen but I'm happy to oblige to any demands you may have :)
What I don't really understand is the share-alike part. Does it mean that I need to share the source code to the game by the same license if the art is in the game or does it only mean that if I redistribute the art for thers to use (not likeley, you should see the result when I try to draw stuff) that I then need to have that license?
/Mike
Oh right, the game in its current form:

Mikhog,
Hi! If youre not realeasing on mobile platforms, feel free to only attribute me and dont worry about the share alike clause. Also, just so you know Im working on combining my zombie sprites with my character set, so you can make millions of zombie combonations. I should be releasing this rather soon. :)
Nice, can't wait to see them, I love your zombies! Thanks a lot for making them available to the world!
Will there be a fat zombie like in the teaser above? I just feel a zombie game is not the same without a fat zombie... :)
I could add a fat zombie base into the editor rather easily. Ill see what I can do!
Actually, after looking at it, a fat zombie base wont work with the current sprite size :/. However you still have the fat one thats already here.
Now you can make millions of different zombies! Just follow the link:

YEEES fat zombie! Thanks!
I added your fat zombie as boss in the first wave. I love him. I even made him a special "fat-guy-breathe-sound" :):)

Finally release the game for real, it's been sitting around on my harddrive doing nothing for months waiting for about 30 min of work to be finished.. :)
Here it is:

Fun twist on tower defense! I wouldn't have guess my assets would have been used on one! :)
Hey Curt! Just thought I would share with you how I implemented your sprites into my dungeon crawler game for a final project for college! These sprites are just awesome! And your attribution is in a comment in the game code that is one level up from the URL (FinalProject folder) in the zombie.js library. The URL:

Thanks,
Joel
This set is now Public Domain CC0 (As of 9/28/16). Have fun!
