As the title suggest I'm a programmer and I'm willing to donate my time to help with a small project. My main goal is to get experience working with a team and a finished game under my belt to have something to show to others. This would be something to do in my spare time. I'm not looking for a huge project. Something like a simple platformer or short FPS game.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you guys.
Hello everyone, I'm MadByte, 25 years old from Germany!
This seems to be a really nice (and talented) community I'd love to join in. I came over from the LÖVE forums (which btw is an awesome community too!), maybe some of you know the framework as well.
This September, my CC/free game asset-focused event, Freesource Jam, begins! It's a six-week affair where participants create new, free-to-use assets and/or games involving them. You can find the itch.io page HERE.
Hey guys and gals. Long time lurker. While lurking, I have also been writing a platforming game engine in Java. With the help of some of the sprites pulled from this fantastic website, I have just about finished the game engine itself. I intend to use it to make a metrovania style game eventually, once it's more polished. Still having some trouble implementing a hook shot type item. Right now I have incorporated projectiles, grenades, npcs, a physics system for the platforms and some other stuff. Your sprites have been an awesome resource for developing the prototype.
I'm trying to make a storm during sunrise, and i think the sky and water are passable, but idk how to make the water reflect correctly. Can someone give me some feedback?
I need some advice about drawing pictures: starting from single sprites, which is the best software / tool to merge them in a single picture, like the ones many of you are using as preview? I would like to make some images starting from sprites (like pages of a story) but i cannot decide how to procede... Any tips?
Recently? And finished a project? And might be looking for work in the near future? And have a portfolio you can post?
If so, please let me know. This is more of a general query and not a job offer. But I'm a bit tired of asking artists individually and want to have an idea of the actual potential hires this site can offer.
So. Again. Anyone available in the near future with a portfolio to post too?
This isn't a job offer. But I'm not sure where it goes.
