This was released for about $300, in late 2012, because BananaBread wanted a freely licensed model (it's a fork of Sauerbraten running in Web browsers).

Sadly, there is no .blend file. I do know that Geartrooper uses Blender (unlike Nieb who uses 3DS Max), though.

“meaning someone who creates derivative/new work from yours does not have to redistibute it publically,”

No free license requires you do this. This is a common misconception on copyleft licenses; you do not have to release anything. However, if you do, you must release it under the same license.

Looks great, builds successfully, but sadly: https://github.com/kmkolasinski/AwesomeBump/issues/28

Then you need proprietary software to even download the game, it can be considered DRM.

Same goes for using Steamworks libraries.

All games on Steam use some form of DRM. If your game is not available as a non-Steam game, then it has DRM.

Android has DRM APIs since 4.3. This does not mean that you have to use them – you can also distribute your application on F-Droid or as a direct APK.

As for Windows Store, I don't know.

The golden rule is that you should be able to access the direct art files (eg. don't encrypt the data files).

I think adding Expat would be a good idea. However, don't mix copyright notice and attribution: the former can be hidden deep in the source files, the other must be prominent.

This is CC BY-SA 3.0.

So, you need to:

- give proper attribution (eg. in the credits),

- keep the textures under the same license (this does not affect licensing of your game).

Can you please release the source code and put it under a free license? Thanks in advance.

Can you please release the source code (under a free license), and use .zip instead of .rar?
