I've looked over that thread before and decided not to offer my services becasue I don't think I can emulate that art style. I'm also not really looking for more work right now, I've got a number of projects to keep me busy. Next time just send me an email, I check it every weekday.
I know sometimes with that magic wand tool, I use it, but if there is a color too similair in the same region as the region selected, it will also highlight that undesired color as well.
Just set the tollerance to 0 and that's not a problem anymore.
So, is one of the features that you can open a layered file and change the color regardless of layer? If so, that sounds much more interesting!
I don't think that style of font is suited for more than small amounts of text, it calls too much attention to itself. I'd go with one that has a softer look and higher pixel count than that, though I do like the idea of it being pixelated instead of vector.
I wouldn't buy it. I have photoshop and all I need to do is have the magic wand tool with the right settings and color changing is as simple as one click and a key command. To do multiples the same way I could set up a action and then it would just be a button press to not only do that but also save and close the document. Very quick and pretty painless. I would be more interested in a tool that would let me tweak the colors of an indexed pallet directly so that I could do things like rotating colors and other fun things like I used to be able to on my parent's Atari, but more because of nastolgia and curiosity than any real usefulness.
I'm a fan of python! So far it's the only language I've attemtped to learn that didn't make me want to bash my head against a wall. Having an easy to use language to program in definately makes a big difference to people like me who don't normally program and have no aptitude for it.
I think this discussion has taken a really interested turn. What would attract programmers like you to write mods or help collaborative open source projects? Are there any things you can think of that are automatic turn offs?
Will this be a Zelda game or a Zelda like game?
What is it about CC-By that bothers you? I usually licence my stuff under that because attribution is important to me.
Nice! More weapons is always good!

Heh, that's only because I have health issues that get significantly worse when I work too hard. If I didn't I'd be a certifiable workaholic.

I'll be doing LPC forever! ^_^ I'm happy everyone enjoys it.
