these are all great. im not sure about the fire effect on volcanos. the fire coming out as a static image of it just sitting there wont look good to me. it might have been better without it. its kinda like having a smoke effect but the smoke not moving its just sitting there. you kinda look at it and go hmm.
Probably the big one, but it's so damn expensive. I'm a bit worried, because our cat often jumps on my table and sits on my old graphics tablet. :P
well you can adjust the angle on the cintiq. so just angle it so the cat will just slide off =) mostly people comment how big the larger really is. like it takes up the whole desk big. so make sure you have plenty of room =D
that dungeon king game wont work for me. i gave it access to my hard drive and it still wouldnt load all the way in firefox. i tried various things but it always gets stuck on the loading screen and never goes beyond that. i did see a gameplay game in youtube though. looks pretty nice but the game pretty much forces you to run around the enemies in circles to not get hit otherwise you die alot. its really annoying to watch people play this game because of it. the axe sound gets annoying fast as well.
there are some interesting things going on though. the backgrounds are really good and diablo-ish. im assuming when you see below the walking areas that is just a picture background including all the columns and such that is supposadly holding up the tiles. curious though if these backgrounds would ever move position and be off depending if the screen got to large or stretched. I dont understand how you can make a static background stay in the right position when the screen size can be so different. even if you stretched the image it may not look right.
This is a really great contribution. Flare is progressing nicely and already is starting to look more polished with every version. I sit back and look at how far you are and think to myself, he must have learned so much with this already.
I dont see myself ever using D. I wouldnt bother learning delphi personally i would just learn c# if i was going that route. I like the mainstream languages. c++, python, lua, objective c. actually out of the 4 i only know c++. Scripting languages seem neccessary for anything useful though. I bought a lua and python book. Lua was a little strange to me coming from such a strict language like c++. speaking of which I need to buckle down and finish those up.
during my time with c++ I really havent created anything that could not have been done with an easier language. thats kinda depressing really.

@Skorpio oh cintiqs are nice. you shooting for a 12wx or the larger 21ux-dtk. I think people prefer the larger but its twice the cost.

i like how the wheels turned out. when i look at the untextured model they dont even look round but when evetything is textured up it looks great.
i like him with the rust and steam. the steam really helps convey its a steam run machine

I hope you find it useful.
I noticed in the Flare source download there is some pretty nice rendered trees. will you be adding those as well?
