Ice of time was just a wierd name that I thought of for the slippery journey through time. Hitting space will bring up an in game menu and hitting r will restart it. I will make that more clear in the tutorials. I'll try my best to make it more ice themed. Thanks again!
Hi, I know OGA is not the best place do discuss this but I STRONGLY reccommend doing projects for your son. I know firsthand the problems that it can create with not learning responsibility because my parents did this to me. It sends a message when a parent goes and learns about something he/she knows nothing about in order to bail their son out. If this becomes a pattern integrity, honesty, and responsibility are thrown out the window and grades are more important. The ends becomes more important than the means which should not be the case with school.
That being said, consistency is important and it is too late for you to back out. Scratch https://scratch.mit.edu is a great place to make simple games like the one you want. I think you should learn how to make the game and then teach him how to do it. Making it should take less than 45 minutes. I also reccomend not making it isometric, an RPG view would be a lot easier. But really, please, for the sake of your son do not do things like this again.
I'm pretty new as well but I thought i could offer some suggestions. I think that the overall style needs to stay more consistent. For example his legs look very blocky, and the rest of the body is much more curved. He has really detailed 3 tone shading under the hood but not much anywhere else.
I think the body shape looks good. I'm not sure about what you want the style to be but the head looks too circlular to me. The eyes have a nice lost boy feel to them idk why. The shadows could make more sense, so shadows at the bottom of his head and under the jacket. I think overall everything is a good start except for the backpack. In my opinion the backpack needs to be completely redone. THe straps are very awkward and the thing itself. I'm not sure what the dark parts are supposed to represent.
I mean a tutorial program.
@spiderdave Good idea, I'll implement it soon.
@melaniko Thanks for trying it out. You can press space to bring up the menu in game.
@tdreid tell me if you beat Level 18: Shaolin Wall. That would be quite an accomplishment.
@crysjreid Thanks for all your help. I included you in the credits!
Update: Just finished the game! All levels completed. Thanks everyone who helped test!
Looks great! I like how there's a coherent art style. Looking forward to trying it out.
I'll add that for sure. Just out of curiosity, how far did you get?
Thanks for the feedback,

Is this what you wanted? :D
Seriously though, please be more descriptive.

Clarification, so you are trying to make him able to shoot in any direction while walking in any direction?

Nice job and good luck :)
