GB palette make everything awesome *drool*
This would be perfect for a roguelike. With animated characters it could also work for a Zelda-like.

This screams for some valves and vents ;)

Jasper: Updated preview. Can't share sources atm, if I do more in the future I might throw them in.

You're free to pick the one that suits your project best.
Some projects actually require _less_ liberal licenses. It's a strange world ... :)

This game needs an FOSS recreation using these:

I like the simplified anatomy and chibi proportions, if anything I'dd tone down the photorealism of the texture a little, it'll make the anatomy seem less problematic.

Excellent! Nice that you included vector files.

Yes, it's somewhat of the voxel aesthetic. I quite like it.

It sparked another idea in me.
If you literally make every tile a block, you can store a heightmap to offset each cube on the Y-axis, creating more depth and potentially a different kind of level design.
You could even split up every block tile in 3 sub-tiles: top face, front face and bottom; that way you can stretch the height of the cubes and make walls easily.

Yeah, the metal ones would benefit from more. I might do that in the future, but I'm too occupied with other stuff at the moment. I'm also not terribly great at doing coherent sets of stuff due to my chaotic nature :P . So I'll give a big fat maybe on that one.

Added CC-BY-SA 3.0 as a licensing option.
