Make a submission that has to do with heat or fire in some way.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Apparently my vote counting algorithm is off. I'll correct it and re-test (as well as make sure that you can see the number of votes each entry has). The winner of this round is Surt's Flamelings, with 13 votes. The rest of the results will be posted tomorrow.

Just a heads up to anyone entering. It's no longer necessary to link your art here in comments. Just click the "Enter this challenge" link and select the art you'd like to enter.
Also, challenge votes are now counted separately from favorites. Voting is done on the challenge page in the week following the challenge.
This is the first challenge using this new system, so if you run into any bugs, please leave a comment here.
Good job on the new system and yay for weeky challenges. I guess my recent knowledge on Blender fire/smoke system will come handy
Yeah, it should be a lot easier now, so hopefully we'll have challenges up consistently. It's aactually possible to have more than one going at the same time now, too, which means we can have more specific themes.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing your entry.
I was both hoping and fearing dorkster giving us that. That's the best (and right now unbeatable).
Oh hey, the challenges are back! Yay! I'll have something for this soon.
What's the deal with submitting someone elses work (such as the AncientBeast stuff for example)?
While it can certainly bring in more valuable additions to the site, it would suck if the creator was going to submit a preexisting openly licensed work to a challenge only to be pipped at the post by some random person who managed to submit the same work to the challenge before them.
Is it a bug that I'm not seeing my entry? Or is it an elimination system? Or is it still counted but just not shown here?
I think only the 5 latest entires are shown. Would it be possible to show here (or link to) a list of all the current entries?
Its bugged seems like i left a message for bart he can fix it when he is around.
That was just a bug. Only the most recent 5 entries were showing up. I fixed it.
I think a simple notification on the main page is needed. I didnt thought we are the ones to vote them.
What's the deal with the multiple votes? Are there a fixed number of votes per user, is the weight of the user's vote divided between all voted for items or something else entirely?
What day the voting end?
One week from the end of the contest.
@surt: It's an approval vote system. You can vote for as few or as many items as you like, with the exception of your own submissions.
Could you get it to show "[#] Votes For This Item"?
Not until the voting period ends. I don't want peoples' votes being influenced by the number of votes that an item has already received. :)
Makes sense. For that reason is why you don't see the current Weekly and Monthly leaders for Games uploaded to Kongregate (250 to 1000 USD on the line for winners) without having to click around a bit to see it. It used to be shown on the sites landing page.
I thumbs up, plus one, hidden votes.
Hard to choose, but I did it.
