So over the years, Ive seen a TON of sprites, and sadly spent a LOT of time in close examination of them. So I gotta ask, is this a heavily modified version of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Cut "Wood Zone" Sprites?

@Zeoinx: I can't see any relationship between the two. The patterns appear pretty different, the palette shares no similarities, proportions are different, style is unique. I feel like anything this spritesheet shares with the sprites you've linked to is also shared by every other grass and dirt platformer spritesheet. Can you illustrate some of the details you're seeing?

@MedicineStorm its the way the unzoomed image bashes into my mind the wood zone bark design. Its prob is not, if not flat out not, especially now that I downloaded the set, and really zoomed in,but hell if my brain refuses to keep seeing in, even after placing them side by side. Unzoomed, my brain just keeps seeing it. I dont know why. This is surely one for the books though.
